If you approach a congressman in Washington D.C. and try to ask them what seems to be a pretty simple question and he goes nuts, grabbing at you and demanding to know who you are … don’t answer him. Why not answer? This guy is showing aggressive behavior and has enough power -- since we gave it to them -- to make your life miserable for years to come. I don’t blame the guy for not answering. Without further comment, I give you Rep. Bob “Who are You” Etheridge (D-N.C.).

You can always count on someone on FR providing justifications. No matter how serious the offense, there is always someone here trying to ‘justify’ it; looking at it from ‘offender’s’ position.

Again; “Law” only applies to “Little People”.
And they WANT us to react like that. It gives them a sense of justification for what they will surely do next.

Ha ha you certainly came across loud and clear. And, you’re right!
No, you did not defend his behavior but you did assign blame to the student. Nothing he did was even remotely illegal, nor did it justify the Congressman’s actions.
Eldridge is a public figure and as such has even less of a right to privacy in public then do us “nobodies” and if you really want to get down to it, as one freeper said here, this Congressman works for the kid just as all of them work for all of us.
I think above all else these peoiple in Washington have forgotten that little fact and need a serious, SERIOUS reminder as to just who is in charge in this country.

Etheridge doesn’t give the kid a chance to identify himself. Etheridge just grabs the student and says over and over, “Who are you.”
My impression what Etheridge meant was “Who are you to question me?”

This is one I will remember to watch in November. All the way with Renee!!! It doesn’t really matter that all of these Republican women lately are beautiful. It’s probably just be a reflection of what’s in their hearts. Etheridge, on the other hand looks down right ugly, inside and out. (did I mention that Ellmers is a real cutie?)
Again, my comments are not meant to reduce the charactor of any woman to their appearance.

I think you misunderstood what I said. I said he always sounds drunk...and my mistake for not clarifying what I meant. What I meant was that, I didn’t think he was drunk during the assault, or ever, it’s just, he slurs his speech. Always has. He sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. I recall meeting him back in the early ‘90’s when he was the secretary of education for NC. He slurred his speech then and still does.
But after what this clown did, and I am sorry I had to go into name calling did, could some of those voters who have seen this video, who have voted for Rep. Etheridge, would be sure looking “red” in the face from embaressedment. Just my thoughts. GO RENEE!
Would not surprise me if he has.
