The UK Is Now Freaking Out About The U.S. Reaction To BP

The UK is freaking out right now about the U.S. reaction to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Major Conservative political leader and Mayor of London Boris Johnson has called President Barack Obama's language "anti-British" after the President called BP 'British Petroleum' rather than its modern name.

Conservative Lord Tebbit's quote is just too vitriolic to paraphrase.

From The Daily Mail:

"The whole might of American wealth and technology is displayed as utterly unable to deal with the disastrous spill - so what more natural than a crude, bigoted, xenophobic display of partisan political Presidential petulance against a multinational company," said Lord Tebbit.

Much of the furor over the fallout from the BP spill in the UK stems from the potential damage to the company's dividends, which are linked to many pensions in the country.

Now UK Prime Minister David Cameron is going to speak personally to U.S. President Barack Obama over the issue, in an effort to calm the tensions between the two countries.

But the UK's Spectator blog doesn't think Cameron has a chance of stopping Obama on his warpath, as the U.S. president has no choice but to attack with his poll numbers sagging.

chickadee, when you own stock in a company you can wake up tomorrow and it’s worth zero. That’s part of the deal. I almost bought BP a few months ago because of it’s sizable dividend. Thank God I didn’t but if I did it’s my tough luck. I feel sorry for those pensioners in Britain but I feel more sorry for the shrimpers in Louisiana.

I don’t agree with Obama on much, if anything. But I am pretty frustrated with this whole episode and want to see it end.

Forget it, Dave. He won't take your call. BTW, do you need a set of DVDs?...............

I understand that - but what is to be gained by bankrupting BP? Will it make the spill go away? Who will pay the damages if BP goes bust? The people on the Gulf coast are far more likely to get relief and compensation if BP remains strong.

Obama is an idiot.

Isn't Mayor of London Boris Johnson supposed to be ultaleft wing just like Zer0? These people do have a way of consuming their own.

"Boris The Spider"

Look, he's crawling up my wall
Black and hairy, very small
Now he's up above my head
Hanging by a little thread

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Now he's dropped on to the floor
Heading for the bedroom door
Maybe he's as scared as me
Where's he gone now, I can't see

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly

There he is wrapped in a ball
Doesn't seem to move at all
Perhaps he's dead, I'll just make sure
Pick this book up off the floor

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly

He's come to a sticky end
Don't think he will ever mend
Never more will he crawl 'round
He's embedded in the ground

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

And the fact that BP was leading the charge for Obama’s carbon taxes.

Obama voted “present” in regard to this disaster. He should have immediately paved the way for those ships that sweep the oceans of oil to be on-site asap, approved Jindal’s plan of barriers to keep oil away and implemented methods to keep the oil away from other locals.

Instead his response has been his administration had its boot on BP’s neck and now knows who’s a$$ to kick.

Its tough to feel too sorry for BP as they gave Obma more campaign cash than they gave anyone else.

Calling BP "British Petroleum" is obviously racist, just like calling Barack Obama "Barack Hussein Obama" is racist.

I seem to recall this freak of nature telling us to vote for Obama, calling W a retarded cowboy and then being hailed as the toast of the town.

Maybe Ozer0, grand poopah of the earf could hurry up and lower those sea levels to keep the oil off the beaches.

For you brits, don’t look for Ozer0 to do anything that is not in his own interests. Perhaps you could gate crash his next Wednesday night soiree.

So many on the left and even some on the right here in the US are calling for ‘Bammy to ‘seize’ BP and it’s assets. Is it called British Petroleum just to have a name or is it a British company? Wasn’t ‘Bammy’s father was a British subject when ‘Bammy was born? Grudge match?

I’m talking about his running his mouth off about “getting his life back” when 11 men died and one of the other idiots who said that shrimp could be found elsewhere.

Also, BP has not been too honest in how they have operated so when they decide to put the interests of the Gulf coast before their bottom line in this mess some of the real anger might just be tempered.

Don’t worry, the anger is also there for the zer0 too.

Yeah, but instead of all this pissin’ and moanin’ on both sides of Atlantic and instead of all Obama’s posturing and get-tough language, and instead of BP worrying about dividends, how about they just figure out a way to contain and stop the leak?

IT’S NOT A POLITICAL PROBLEM. IT’S A TECHNICAL PROBLEM. SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
