The UK Is Now Freaking Out About The U.S. Reaction To BP

The UK is freaking out right now about the U.S. reaction to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Major Conservative political leader and Mayor of London Boris Johnson has called President Barack Obama's language "anti-British" after the President called BP 'British Petroleum' rather than its modern name.
Conservative Lord Tebbit's quote is just too vitriolic to paraphrase.
From The Daily Mail:
"The whole might of American wealth and technology is displayed as utterly unable to deal with the disastrous spill - so what more natural than a crude, bigoted, xenophobic display of partisan political Presidential petulance against a multinational company," said Lord Tebbit.
Much of the furor over the fallout from the BP spill in the UK stems from the potential damage to the company's dividends, which are linked to many pensions in the country.
Now UK Prime Minister David Cameron is going to speak personally to U.S. President Barack Obama over the issue, in an effort to calm the tensions between the two countries.
But the UK's Spectator blog doesn't think Cameron has a chance of stopping Obama on his warpath, as the U.S. president has no choice but to attack with his poll numbers sagging.

Hahahahaha. Obama, uniting the world.
Oh, how delicious - accusing our first (or second) black President of being a xenophobe.
(I got this idea from another thread). Someone should ask Mayor Johnson if he started his own oil company, and named it British Petroleum, would BP complain?
Obama’s ongoing goal to destroy our international relationships with our allies, and trying to shift the focus of the oil spill from him to someone/thing else.
...but likes exotic vegetables from Morroco, apparently.
It’s national company by any other name. Wars start when governments own almost everything.
Obama is Anglophobic!
Matters would be a bit more cordial if the CEO would stfu and fix his SNAFU.
Good poster slogan...
Now that I’ve made my smarty pants comment - this is truly a tragedy. It’s terrible that so many who depend on Gulf fishing and tourism for their livelihoods have been harmed, but destroying the income of British pensioners won’t make things better. It may only crash the world economy that much sooner.
Selfish, selfish Democrats in general - and Obama in particular.
BP isn’t owned by the British government.
I suspect BP would have performed their cleanup with better diligence if this spill had occurred on the shores of merry old England.
And especially the British. As a Kenyan by birth, and a latter day Mao Mao by upbringing, what do our cousins expect?
It is much improved now that BP has been allowed to do after 50 days what they wished to do after 3.
Faster ?
Ya think ?
He hates the English, as has been clear since he returned the Churchill statue and gave Brown, a fellow left-winger, that crummy box of CD's.
