Very interesting.

The only video feed that works for me is Enterprise 1 and it is just a view of the oil cloud. A couple of the others come up and then freeze frame.
Local AM news in Seattle is reporting that “some of the oil is being collected...”
No further details.
I'm convinced it's just the rov holding the camera. If you watch the oil plume closely, you won't see any fanning or anything relative to the riser casing.
While this is most likely the case, let me interject something here:
Picture your garden hose with a sprayer attached to the end of it.
In this case the hose is the well, and the sprayer is the CAP
Now think of what happens if you do not have the sprayer on all the way, or the washer inside the srayer fails or is not there
You still have a majority of the water coming through the sprayer, but the leak around the sprayer looks like it is huge when it is actually only a fraction of the actual amount of water going through the hose
This may be the case here-- because of the enormous pressure it may look like we are seeing a ENORMOUS gusher when in reality it may only be a fraction of the actual flow. Remember BO said they were shooting for a BEST CASE of 80% contain, 20% leakage.
Let's put that in perspective also --
Conservative estimates are 250,000 GALLONS a day coming from the well, That means if they get 80% containment you would still have 50,000 Gallons a day blowing out from under the cap.
Suttles is making the morning rounds saying the goal is 90 percent.
Is there a pipe/hose taking oil to the surface yet? Or, at this point, are we just looking at a cap with no upward connection?
The cap was already connected to the new riser when it was put into place. Whether the pipe was open or not I have no idea.
Click on the following for a schematic of the plan to plug from the bottom.

Thanks. It makes sense now. I was thinking they were going into the resevoir and would sealing it from that direction. (There’s a reason I am not an engineer.)
Anybody know what the feed from Canyon Offshore is showing?
Just caught a glimpse of someone wiping the camera lens offf of enterprise ROV 1.
Too surreal!
Could it be one of the relief well sites?
Enterprise ROV2 is right at the well head. You can really see it bouncing
Any chance of them grabbing the drill pipe and bringing it up and reconnecting a new drill pipe? Not the outer casing pipe. Anyone know?
Just saw Adm Mullen on TV. They are capturing roughly 1000 barrels a day through the pipe right now. They plan on slowly closing the vents and increasing the flow, but they will do it in very small increments.
They have another cap on the bottom. Think they are planning a swap for some reason?
It was mentioned that they have fabricated mulriple caps, and that they may try different ones and see which one has the best effect.
They are getting oil through the one that is on there, but they have no closed off the relief valves yet so the flow is very small, most is passing through the cap or around it at the moment.
