I don’t know man. I worked a pipeline and it was always nice to have the eng around to make the tough calls that I would have normally made in the field.
They may take longer than I would, but you just tell your boss, “I’m waiting on eng approval. Yes, I know. He’ll probably sign off on it. Hey it’s not my call now, it’s his. Of course, thats what I told him we should do yesterday. Well call his boss then, I’m here with the crew and we are ready to proceed.”
