Another holiday slighted by Google but honored by Bing
Bing and Google ^ | 5/31/2010 | Bing-Google

Last holiday was Easter where Google ignored the holiest holiday of Christians while it instead honored some obscure European author. This Memorial day google ignores Memorial day by not decorating their google logo with Memorial day pictures. Bing on the other hand honored both Easter and Memorial day.

Don't believe me check it out.

It’s a free company and a free economy. If I don’t like a company’s practices, I don’t do business with them. Simple enough.

If you don’t like Google’s ways, use Bing.

Quite Right. And if you don't like Google encourage others to do the same. Glad we agree.

It's a shame that they have to wait until others complain for them to actually do something. Something, I might add, should be instinctive to Americans on this holiday....

The little Google Flag can’t be found when I type win google.com. Those seeing it must have an extended version of their home page. All I see is the standard Google logo.

I started this same thread last Memorial Day. That’s when I switced to BING as a home page.

Mozilla start and igoogle haven’t changed for me but google has. They usually change at least the color scheme for the letters on google for important holidays or whatever floats their fancy such as the pacman anniversary a couple of weeks ago.

Kinks - "Catch Me Now I'm Falling" (Released in '79 during Carter's disaster - even more meaningful now!)

I remember, when you were down
And you needed a helping hand
I came to feed you
But now that I need you
You won't give me a second glance
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling

Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
I remember when you were down
You would always come running to me
I never denied you and I would guide you
Through all of your difficulties
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling

Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling

When you were broke you would come to me
And I would always pull you round
Now I call your office on the telephone
And your secretary tells me that she's sorry,
But, you've gone out of town.

This is Captain America calling

Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling

I stood by you through all of your depressions
And I lifted you when you were down
Now it's your chance to do the same for me
I call your office and your secretary tells me That you've gone out of town

This is Captain America calling
Catch me now I'm falling

I was the one who always bailed you out
Of your depressions and your difficulties
I never thought that you would let me down
But the next time you're in trouble
Better not come running to me

Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling

Try www.yahoo.com

There's a figure raising and saluting the flag. Click on that image to go to a special Memorial Day page.

Still not showing up on my browser (IE8).

This is odd some people see the little flag others don’t.
