I read a long time ago that his adopted mother had somehow taken all his assets that he earned from the show Different Strokes and he had sued her to try and get the money back, but it was mostly gone..........
Yeah, I read he had a couple of seizures earlier this year too, he may have had another seizure which caused the fall. He had heart problems recently as well. He must have been in failing health. 42 is young, but with 2 kidney transplants, I suspect he was living on borrowed time. God bless him.
Some of the more notable ones who have died so far in 2010 are Art Linkletter, Dorothy Provine, Fess Parker, J.D. Salinger, Jean Simmons, John Forsythe, June Havoc, Kaythryn Grayson, Lena Horne, Lynn Redgrave, Merlin Olsen, Pernell Roberts, Peter Graves, Peter Haskell, Robert Culp and Teddy Pendergrass.
Thanks.
Well, she was lucky, very lucky in that.

No man is an island, but does any FReeper care specifically about this guy? I don’t think I saw 60 seconds of this him on TV outside of maybe network promos during football games.

You wasted more time posting this than it was worth to you.
I wonder if he had to take Coumadin? People on blood thinners can die from bumps to the head really easy.
You know, silly as it may seem (and I generally think celebs are not anything other than people who are way overpaid to play for a living) I really do care that he died too young. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy who had a hard life and made the best of it. I don’t recall him complaining about the hardships life handed him (and he did have his fair share with the health problems he was born with).
So, it’s ok if you don’t care, I can understand that, but I will still offer up my prayers for his family and those who knew and loved him. You might try it, it might do your soul good.
Wow, my prayers for you also!
I remember seeing Gary Coleman at a very young age on Good Times....he was very funny even then........RIP
I agree, having had a recent brush myself, it has suddenly put it all in perspective.
I suppose next you’re going to tell me there’s no such thing as Santa Claus.........
Did you know the man? Did you take time to meet him? Did you find out what he did when he wasn’t struggling with his health?
I care about anyone who dies, whether their obits make it to FR or not. As it happens, Mr. Coleman lived in one of the most beautiful parts of this country, and I’m sure the small town he lived in will mourn his passing, even if you don’t. And FWIW, your caring or not is immaterial. He’s beyond your criticism.

Thank you brytlea!
I think many (maybe most) do, but I think there are a few exceptions. Kirk Cameron and his sister Candace must have had very good parents who put their kids ahead of themselves.
RIP little fella'....
This is breaking news?
