I hadn’t heard that before. Interesting if true. a All I know is that he was one of a sliver of astute, level-headed seers who saw the economy was teetering on the brink of a steep plunge, stayed on topic, and taught me a lot. If he was paid to spread information here then he got ripped off. He should have charged for what he was teaching.
Maybe FreeRepublic should have a banned hall of shame or something, so we can list who was banned when and why. Contributors here just fall off the planet never to be seen again and there is rhyme or reason as to why that I know of. I am out of the loop. Not saying jerks and habitual rule breakers should not be banned or that a forum owner can’t rule at his discretion. Our 1st Amendment rights do not extend to this electronic bulletin board except as it is applied as a privilege bestowed by the legal forum owner and operator.
Still and all, I would like to know why so many people are banned from here, never to return...
Why? So freepers can debate about it? Stupid idea. Why trash the banned? Many posters have asked for their accounts to be banned for various reasons.

From what I have heard, that was one of the nastiest, bloodiest parts of the European war, and you are quite right to equate it with New Guinea...muddy, bloody, hopeless, as cold and nasty as New Guinea was wet, moldy and dank.
