A massive Sh164 billion in hard currency has found its way into the Kenyan economy and the government is unable to explain its source.
The $2.1 billion inflow has left government statisticians and donors scratching their heads for answers, fuelling concerns that Kenya may be turning into a money laundering destination by Somali pirates.
The large foreign currency injections are captured in the latest balance of payments statistics published by the Central Bank of Kenya.

Having risen to $2.1 billion, the current level represents a massive 100 per cent increase within a year. The mysterious billions are over and above the combined last years export earnings from coffee, tea and horticulture. As a matter of fact, the line errors and omissions has grown into the single largest item in the economys balance of payments statistics.

My father, 3rd from the left, lived in the Congo. When he died he left me his estate but in Nigerian monies. I recently replied to Mr Ohara regarding the money due me and would I care for an ATM card to transfer the money. I asked him to transfer it to Kenya so that I could buy some Ivory stock! The remainder I will give to Cheetah who just celebrated his 75th Birthday. He owns a major interest in King Solomon's mines! I hope he gives me a portion of that as well. Of course there's the Ark thingee too! But that's in a galaxy far far away!
Fixed.
Looks like Sherriff Joe is on his way to collect some of this tragic accounting error.
Don’t forget, China throws a lot of money around in Africa too.
Great observation!..Can we connect a couple of other dots...

#2 Kenya Official asks when Obama intends to repatriate himself or part of the money...
The following transcript is of an April 14, 2010 debate on the floor of the Kenyan National Assembly.
Dr. Khalwale: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister has told us that the office of the then Senator Obama gave him a lot of assistance. That is very good to hear. Could he tell us what commitment the same office made by way of compensation to this country because those artefacts in those museums have been attracting visitors who were paying to view them?
What commitment did they make about compensation and more importantly, the biggest artefact in the USA today that belongs to this country is one Barrack Obama.
How does he intend to repatriate himself or part of the money that is realized from all the royalties that he is attracting across the whole world?

Maybe not for the list, but interesting....hmm...
Well, sounds like a smart move. After all, why keep all the unspent TARP money in US BANKS? We know what is happening to them.
They cashed a check from a Nigerian prince.
And so does Jr.

BHO made the drop himself when he traveled incognito to the Kenyan embassy on his “soccer game” ruse.
Payoff to keep quiet about his Mombassa BC.
The money came into the system in 2009 per the article. Besides, that much cash would be pretty bulky.
Maybe he was bringing them a 2010 “deposit” prompted by that Kenyan government official just having stated that Barry was born in Kenya - the PDF publication that showed up on the Kenyan gov’t. web site one to two months ago. (don’t have link handy)
We need to check his schedule. See if he leaves the White House at night and if there are any 7-11s nearby which handle Western Union money transfers.
Rats! I was scrolling down, hoping to be the first to mention those wonderful helpful emails from the Nigerian government representative who wants my bank account information so that he can send me some of the excess money in their treasury.
Ah well. Good job.
“My bank made a mistake ...its my money”
I’m sure they’d be more than happy to EFT it back to you if you’ll provide them with all the relevant account details.
Now, Obama is being called a Somali Pirate?
What do you think?
