TAMPA - Several political blogs are reporting that the city of Tampa will be chosen to host the 2012 Republican National Convention.
The RNC has not made it official yet, as the vote and subsequent announcement is scheduled for Wednesday.
The Atlantic, a monthly political magazine, says Tampa has a 90 percent chance of winning the bid.
Tampa is up against Phoenix, Ariz. and Salt Lake City, Utah. Online outlets say Phoenix will likely lose the bid because of the recent heat Arizona has been getting for their newly passed immigration law. Local news reports from Salt Lake City are also pointing to Tampa as the winner.

If true, then this is a big hit against Romney, who had counted on being coronated in Salt Lake City among the Latter Day Saints.

Nothing against Tampa, but Phoenix would be a perfect response to the lefts faux outrage and outright lies.
Would definitely need the Guard on hand though.

The Governor of Florida hast just got done screwing the GOP. Why then is the GOP holding their convention in his state?
Can you imagine Charlie Crist tomorrow after the announcement, coming out and saying how “glad” he is that the GOP will hold their convention in Florida?!?!?

Hopefully, by 2012, the “R” designation might mean something worthwhile again.
November 2010 will seal the deal.
At the very least, it would be amusing to all Floridians to watch Crist prance around trying to invent the perception of “Republican” support.

Tampa lost the bid in 2000 and 2004 so it is not shocking they would win this time no matter who else was bidding.
