If Major League Baseball caves into the wishes of those who are breaking the law and entering the law ILLEGALLY and moves the 2011 All Star game from Arizona, I vow to never watch baseball again. Who is with me?
I forgive you.
Since most of us already hate baseball our boycotting of the game will make a minimal impact. That is why I suggest we put pressure on the sponsors of baseball to tell the MLB people to mind their own business.
If we start to boycott Minute Maid or Petco or Coors or other businesses that give money to MLB then maybe MLB will feel the economic pinch more then a few freepers boycotting the games.
LOL.
PINGAROO
They can’t be stupid enough to even consider this right?
wait, Bud is still in charge. nevermind....
CAVS sucked, Suns rolled last night....
I always get a chuckle at people complaining about the length of baseball games which are, on average, shorter than football games.
Since my team is the Baltimore Orioles, boycotting baseball this year would be easy. LOL!
I have been boycotting them since the strike about 20 years ago.
Speak for yourself.
I’m in. I boycott Los Angeles and San Fran also. And I live in LA county.
Please dont compare soccer [or any other kind of football--BD] to... baseball. You also play football or (remembering Dave DeBusschere, once an aspiring pitcher, or Danny Ainge, once an aspiring outfielder) basketball.Q: What do you do if you cant hit a baseball?
A: Play soccer.
Those who could play either or at competent levels have been exceptions. (Bob Gibson played one season with the Harlem Globetrotters before sticking with the St. Louis Cardinals; Bo Jackson, obviously, for all the favours playing football and baseball at once did him; Deion Sanders, though he proved far better suited to football---in talent and in personality, for better or worse---than baseball; Sandy Koufax was thought on his way to a life in the NBA---he still holds a snertch of Lafayette High basketball records and went to college on a basketball scholarship before he went into baseball.)
I heard on the radio that the Phoenix suns will be wearing jerseys with the spanish translation of their name for an upcoming game to show solidarity with the illegals. Lovely.
Somebody should make a facebook page that says if the MLB boycotts Arizona I will boycott MLB, including going to games, watching games on TV or listening to them on radio. I bet a page like that would get 10K “Likes” in no time.
I stopped watch major league baseball after that strike
back in the mid-nineties. Anybody making BIG $$$ and has the balls to strike . . . he can have somebody other than I help to pay that big salary!!
F the companies. I plan on attending that game. If the owner caves, I have bought my last ticket in Phoenix.
Yeah, I gave them a call and left a message. I posed two questions for them:
1. Will the illegal immigrants fill the arenas and pay their salary?
2. What other skills do the Arizona players have aside from being able to play a kid’s game really well?
Perhaps people should agree to join the boycott if MLB agrees to play out the season with out umpires. Isn’t that what they are asking Arizona to do with regard to the enforcement of immigration law?
Football games are once a week. Baseball games are nightly most weeks of the season.
I take it you don’t have season tickets to MLB?
I live a few hundred miles from the nearest team so no.
So are you following me from thread to thread now tough guy?
Well, as someone who has had MLB season tickets, it’s easy for me to see why the NFL vs. MLB argument doesn’t hold up. Getting home at midnight every night wasn’t fun.
