"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane has compared a tough new immigration law in Arizona to those of Nazi Germany.
MacFarlane, whose irreverent animated TV comedies have themselves provoked controversy, said the Arizona law was more shocking than anything he had done on television.
"It's too much. It's kind of a slap in the face, it's not the way to handle it...Nobody but the Nazis ever asked anybody for their papers," MacFarlane told Reuters Television in an interview on Thursday.
"Walking down the street, a cop can come up to you and say 'May I see your papers?' -- I think they should be required to ask that question in German if the law sticks around," he added.

Hmmmmm, one of those times I wish I had a time machine.... I’d put him on my list but I find he’s already there.
Selfish, ignorant creep.

So, when I got pulled over for speeding last year, it was a Nazi that asked for my driver’s license and my vehicle registration?
Huh.
Another thing, Seth. Have you ever traveled to a foreign country, especially one that requires passport and/or travel visa? You’d be surprised how many of them expect visiting non-citizens to keep proper identification on hand.
What a douchehead.
Wow—guess that means every time I got pulled over by the cops, they were Nazis then too?
What a jerk,,the U.S. challenged anyone that looked Japenese after Pearl Harbor, put some in camps, too. I notice no one is mentioning this period in our history,,while condeeming Ariz. for enforcing U.S. law.
The lies being told about this are never ending. Try cashing a check without your “papers.” This is turning into a first class joke.
Let's see...would, "license, registration and insurance card" count as papers?
the joke is the intellectual lightweights promoting this type of thinking and even worse those that fall for it.
I guess they didn’t ask for papers in the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba... you get the point. They can’t reference communist regimes, though, that would reflect intellectual honesty... The Nazi comparison is the most overused and abused metaphor in use today by both the right and, especially, the left. ENOUGH!!!
Of course not. That was the liberal Saint FDR.
Dont forget yuor local Bartender.
Seth is lost in the cartoon world. Stick with the animations, Seth.
So the cartoon guy Seth agrees with Shakira the singer? And they all agree with the liberals?
Damn. That is fascinating.
What’ll be the next ABC News headline: “Sun rises in east again this morning”?
.Nobody but the Nazis ever asked anybody for their papers,”
BS
It’s not much different then being stopped by the police and being asked for a drivers license, Registration, and proof of insurance.
Couldnt stand to watch more than 5 minutes of his idiotic show.
He has a show? Guess I never missed anything.
