Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Friday signed a controversial bill that seeks to crack down on illegal immigration.
The sweeping measure will make it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally. It will also require local police officers to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are in the country illegally.
Earlier, President Obama called the bill "misguided" and said it could violate people's civil rights. The bill's Republican sponsor, state Rep. Russell Pearce of Mesa, said Obama and other critics of the bill were "against law enforcement, our citizens and the rule of law."

I.e. - “The system worked.”
My problem with illegal aliens is this. Their Im entitled or else attitude reminds me TOO much of some of my own relatives. Theyll use you, move into your house, eat your food and BITCH if you dare ask anything of them.
I managed to finally get rid of that bunch, but it wasnt pleasant and it wont be pleasant for Arizona either, but it MUST be done or the entire house will fall, just as mine would have if Id continued to give compassion to those who didnt deserve it in the first place.
Illegal immigration is simply more share the wealth socialism.
I agree, TX should be the first state to follow suit. And after that the remaining 55 states.
(Didn’t our dear leader say that he counted a total of 57 states?)
Can someone post the e-mail addy for Gov. Brewer? If so, please post it and let’s flood and bombard her inbox with our thanks.
There’s still hope for this great country.
Our women are fabulous - Palin, Cheney, Bachmann, Blackburn et al - and they’re also fabulous looking.
Wahoo and hats off to at least one governor with a pair.
Many thanks USAF70.
They don’t really need to. OK made it so difficult for illegals starting Jan. ‘08 that they all self-deported without costing the state a dime. Effectively, OK said, “You’ve got to go. We don’t care where, but you’ve got to go.” So, they went - to Texas and Arizona. TX and AZ should’ve implemented that same plan. It feels to me as if they’re all here in MN.
Grandpappy told my pappy
Back in my day, son
A man had to answer
For the wicked thing he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree
Round up all of them bad boys
And hang ‘em high in the street
For all the people to see
And justice is the one thing
You should always find
You gotta saddle up your boys
You gotta draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles
We’ll sing a victory tune
And we’ll all meet back
At the local saloon

Good for her- and prayers for her strength in the face of the malice and hate she will endure from the DC despots and their legion of winged monkeys

uh... that was the same time that AZ implemented employer sanctions. They were leaving AZ at the same time. GA also tightened their laws. They didn’t go to AZ, they went home or to TX.
The left is already talking about boycotting AZ.
I’ll have to make sure to take my next vacation there. Always wanted to go anyway. This way it’ll be so much more fun!
You irascible romantic.
Can Texas please be next to pass this law?
Governor........You are doing the right thing for your country and state.
