Angry Fox News executives ordered host Sean Hannity to abandon plans to broadcast his nightly show as part of a Tea Party rally in Cincinnati on Thursday after top executives learned that he was set to headline the event, proceeds from which would benefit the local Tea Party organization.

Hey, stupid! This is an L.A Times "blogspot" hit piece posted by a newbie.

And guess what? Probably every single that touches you has been invested in by the Saudis. You people are like 3 year olds.

Word first began circulating around 4:30 p.m (LATimes) that Hannity wasn't coming to the book signing. Hundreds of people left, books in hand. Many were frustrated.

"I've waited 10 years to meet him," said Joe DiMario, of Mount Washington.

Pat Kellison said she wants her money back. She'd not only bought the book but paid $20 for preferred seating to watch the taping of Hannity's show.

"I'm not happy," said Kellison.

Others were disappointed, but said they'd come for the Tea Party speakers, not just Hannity.

Several hundred people gathered in the lobby and outside the arena in the hours leading up to the 6 p.m. Tea Party rally. Some left after it was announced that Hannity wasn't coming. Many stayed.

Cincinnati.com

Cincinnati Tea Party organizers expected a sold-out crowd - 13,000 people - Thursday at their Tax Day rally, where Sean Hannity was to tape a show and sign his new book (proceeds all going to charity).

Organizers asked for donations of canned goods to be brought to the event for Our Daily Bread, an Over-the-Rhine agency that serves food to poor people.

Tickets are required and were on sale for $5 at www.cincinnatiteaparty.org or 1-877-228-7849. Only leftovers, if any, would be sold at the door. And if you wanted a chance to be on TV, seats around the Hannity set cost $20. The arena seats 13,000. The arena, which seats about 13,000, was a little less than half full as of 6 p.m. Cincinnati.com

“Fox News never agreed to allow the Cincinnati Tea Party organizers to use Sean Hannity’s television program to profit from broadcasting his show from the event. "The tickets will offset the cost of the event, Binik-Thomas said. “Assuming an overage, which I doubt, it will go to the Cincinnati Tea Party for future events,” he said. (oh,oh!)

Hannity called the cancellation a "technical issue".

All odd and very unprofessional (tea party and/or staffers) in handling of such a "long in the planning" event.

excuse me? Yes, I’m a newbie, though I’ve been posting for the last 3 weeks or so. I realize that this is an LA Times “blog piece”, but hardly a hit piece. It’s news, several people in attendance in Cincinnati have been writing to me since they heard, and Jonah Goldberg sent out a quizzical tweet.
I’m hardly a troll. Can you get over yourself a little? This is a story, I’m hardly saying I know what happened. We’ll find out when his show airs. All we know for sure is that his show was SUPPOSED to have been live from the Cincinnati tea party. Okay?

Why isn’t this being reported more about the Arab connection controlling Fox News? This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Conservatives, you can’t trust anything come from Fox News until the Arab funding of Rupert Murdoch’s empire is fully exposed.

It should....but few are doing it. They would get banned from Fox News

Not only an Arab connection....seems like Fox News parent company is now into left wing web sites....check out the one they just bought (the parent company NewsCorp)

www.realitysandwich.com

The website hosts, as you scroll down the bottom, acknowledge NewsCorp and Rupert Murdoch’s purchase

It's true..#23..I believe the tea party organizer reporting "the overage", if any; caused the "tehnical issue" and Hannity is now broadcasting from offices in NY. Hannity will explain, but still was a major screw up.

Cavuto was not the same "apples".

Murdoch was all for Tony Blair in his Sun and Times of Lonodn papers. After Blair was elected he Islamified the UK. It is a lost cause now.

We will wait until we hear from Hannity himself. Don’t trust any others besides Rush and Glen Beck.

If conservatives dump FOX NEWS - they’ll go under - my guess less than a year.

Why would they do this when they just had Cavuto at the Atlanta TP?

IMO, there's a big difference between interviewing someone like Cavuto did, vs. being onstage, the center of gravity, looking very much part of the inner workings of the event.

I am glad FOX pulled him (if they did). The Tea Party is a demonstration. It is amorphous and spontaneous. As soon as it gets associated with corporations, networks or political parties or specific PACs, that very baggage will redefine it and compromise its populist ethos.

Hannity has a lot of fun doing what he does onstage, and the people overall seem to enjoy it; but it is still out of place.

FOX news execs finally show their true loyalty is not to the America people or to this country. Thus, "Fox News" just another arm of the propaganda machine. We report - you decide; obviously BS.

Some sort of co-option going on? What else is new.

Getting way off topic, I wonder if the “hippies” might have got infiltrated too, back in the day. The whole “back to the land” and growing gardens and all that, what’s not to like, really? The anti-corporation deal, I don’t want to throw bricks at anybody, but I do like my mom and pop shops.

Back to the Tea Party thing, both parties must not like these developments, but I can’t help but think they have a plan “B” or “C” for the inevitable. Either marginalize or co-opt it seems to be the result. With some exceptions, it would seem best for the electorate to un-elect most of the politicians come November.

And the problem is again, a false-choice dilemma. There is no provision for “none of the above” in the primaries or anywhere else. So at some level, the machine doesn’t care what candidate wins nor what party, &c &c. THAT’s the problem.

that’s exactly what I said! We can’t know until Hannity says something. I was merely posting an article. Not stating that to be the absolute truth.

Gee, is everyone here as mature and lovely as Deb?

You are correct IdeeFixe, as the other FReeper was out of line even telling you to "shut up".

Yes, the LATimes is a Liberal rag; but they caught the "technical issue" (hannity calls it) and they may well have made a call to NY for a statement to that issue of financial support.

The news was coming out of Cincinnati.com as well.

There are also other sources on this story, which anyone can find it they bothered to look.

Who was the big name guy at NPR who made documentaries and then a family member/company sold dvd's of this taxpayer funded research for personal gain.

Thanks...
