Polish president dies in air crash

A plane carrying Lech Kaczynski, the Polish president, has crashed near Smolensk airport in western Russia, killing all on board, Russian officials have reported.

Polish officials confirmed on Saturday that Kaczynski was on board the flight with his wife, as well as Slawomir Skrzypek, the president of Poland's central bank, Andrzej Kremer, the deputy foreign minister and the army chief of staff.

The crash occurred about 1.5km from Smolensk airport in foggy conditions.

And, wouldn’t have taken much for them to cover it better than CNN, FNC or NBC Today in the last ten minutes as their morning shows opened. Pathetic.

Figures. Know they start early on Saturday compared to others. Didn’t bother leaving here and checking until 7 as I was pretty sure I’d find what I did. They are pathetic, lazy, next to worthless all of them.

Yeah, they were yucking it up about the November elections, Stupak, Judge Stevens, a pie eating contest, and the New Orleans Saints ect. for the first hour. And you are right, they did appear very lazy, even in their posture, they were all slouched behind their desk and looked as though they did not want to be there, or care.

You raise some great questions. When it comes to Russia, just about anything is possible. Now if his replacement is a Russia-friendly one, then it really begins to make sense what may have happened here. Recall, they likely were behind the poisoning of the president of the Ukraine several years ago. They have also murdered scores of reporters critical of the KGB Putin regime.

Or maybe Russian payback for asking the US to build the missile defense system prior to the Kenyan taking office?

This is so terribly tragic. May God be with their families.

And of course it will be supervised by Putin.
