Senator McCain Changes His Mind About Mexican Border (FLIP FLOP ALERT) (NOT APRIL FOOL'S JOKE)
Fox ^ | 2010-04-01

Posted on 04/01/2010 7:38:50 AM PDT by rabscuttle385

In May 2001, we went to Phoenix, Arizona, to report on the porous Southern border. As part of that program, I interviewed Sen. John McCain and told him that the only way the border could be secured was to use U.S. troops. The senator disagreed:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, R-ARIZ.: I do not favor using troops because they are not trained for it. They don't have the kind of qualifications necessary. I have strongly favored us using all the technical equipment that our military has including satellites, including aircraft and other technical means.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Well now Mr. McCain has changed his mind, finally. But it took a terrible tragedy.

Arizona rancher Robert Krentz, 58, was found shot to death on his own property. Mr. Krentz leaves behind a wife, three kids and two grandchildren. His family had been ranching in Arizona since 1907.

Police suspect the murder was committed by an illegal alien who then fled back to Mexico. Authorities say they followed the man's footprints for about 20 miles until the trail stopped at the border.

I hear what you're saying and didn't take any offense. We can be forceful and honest and critical of his actions. I do think some people (not you) are making personal attacks that aren't necessary and make themselves look bad.

His service should earn him a measure of respect but in no way shield him from being called to account for his terrible policy decisions, his current disingenuos campaigning, and the awful campaign he ran for president. But we should stick to the facts and work hard for JD.

O’Reilly advocated troops on the border 10 years ago. I don’t remember him repeating that position in the years between then and now though. Maybe he sensed which way the wind was blowing today.

O’reilly has been off radio for about a year now, that’s the last I’ve listened to him. He was advocating troops then. He’s been consistent on that. Hopefully, he’s turned against McCain on this. We need all the help we can get.

Governor orders Guard to Mexico border

Yes, I saw that last night.

Also, The AZ state legislature committee just passed 8 to 3 legislation to outlaw the presence of illegal aliens in Arizona. McCain is just a little out of step with his state, isn’t he?

HAVE AT IT JD.

HOW MCCAIN DEFEATED MCCAIN
AS IS SEE IT McC surrendered his campaign to pukeneos----The Everything-For-Us-Nothing-For-Conservatives---- crowd. Characterized by pukes kicking to the curb the party's crucial conservative base, and, the pukes obsessive religious cleansing of the Repub Party.

McC could not comprehend (and/or did not particularly care) his pukeneo associations were a huge turnoff to the crucial conservative base.

I though I'd crackup when McC whined on TV, "Obama broke his promise to me" (about campaign finance). Un-figging-believable that McC actually believed a Dem would keep his promise.

Even worse, McC did not comprehend his public griping made him look like a naive tool of Obama. Not a very inspiring presidential picture there.

I sometimes wish there was an extra line under the candidate's name so that voters could write in why they are voting for him and why they are not. Except I'd need about 10 lines to tell McC.

=============================================

ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST 2009 ELECTION NIGHT ACT Smirking little puke-jerk---Fox pundit Billy Kristol---putting on his old reliable "I Know Nothing About This Republican Disaster" act.

AS FREEPER TADSLOS COGENTLY POSTED: "People forget that candy-ass Kristol, and his crony, metro-sexual Brooks are the original makeover artists for McCain post-2000. They are McC's original groomers and media switch operators. For Kristol to be urging McCain (to fire his staff as McC's numbers dived) to start all over at the 11th hour belies how ill conceived, advised, equipped and poorly managed McC's campaign continued to be. But then, I expect as much from a Republican candidate made up from Kristol’s and Brooks’ bolt of whole cloth."

===============================

THE GHOULIANI/LIEBERMAN TURNOFF Conservatives were incensed that McCain allowed himself to be duped by conservative-hating pukeneos and RINOS (making the same mistakes as Bush). The sight of pukeneo stooges and gay/abortion worshippers---Lieberman and RINO Rooty Ghouliani---dominating McC was nauseating. The idea that these suckers would be active and visible in our government for another 4-8 years was a huge turnoff for conservatives.

==========================================

Why McCain Lost / American Thinker---McCain was an awful candidate. He is not a good speaker, he was too old to convince anyone he would change anything, he was constantly crowing how he would "take on" his own party; he was for cap and trade, amnesty, and knew nothing about the economy.

It isn’t hard to pinpoint when the whole bottom fell out for McCain. He was on a little roll after picking Palin. When the economic crisis hit, he made a big deal about going back to DC and suspending his campaign. Then he asked Obama to do the same. Obama laughed at him and McCain looked the old fool, because he did nothing.

What made matters worse, he voted for the pork-laden bailout of Wall Street when he didn’t have to. If he had stood strong against it, he could have looked like the winning maverick.

McCain was his own worst enemy. He is why he lost. Had nothing to do with Palin or the voters.

Well said.

What’s amazing to me is; how can a man who supported and defended the Constitution with his military service, then try and implelment the following:

1) McCain-Feingold (limiting certain American’s Free Speech)

2) Push Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

3) Push legislation for the fraud of AGW (read Cap & Trade), which would economically devistate this country

4) Let his staff trash Gov. Palin, and never once come to her defense in a public way

5) Screwing is own party for the Glory bestowed upon him by the MSM, then amzingly coming back to his “conservative roots” at election time.

Etc.

How could you serve in the military, be tortured for what you “supposedly” defend, then turn around and do what this creep has done? I will no longer preface this man’s military service when I offer criticizm. He’s done large amounts of damage to the country why supposedly defended.

Thanks. I tracked him on TV pretty consistently, and really don’t remember him talking about troops on the border much in the last few years, until now.

O’Reilly has flipped on some issues.

Here is an example: At first, he was saying that Ramos and Compean were heroes, then he changed his mind. Also, a few months ago, he sounded like a global warming believer, but now he sounds like he does not believe in it.

Prez candidate McC's problem was that he was not prepared to run on anything other than "war hero." The economy sprung a leak while McC went out to sea----and his campaign strategy sunk.

That stupid move of McC "suspending his campaign," as the bailout bill surfaced. Expectations were that he would have a plan at the debate a few days later--something to convince voters he was up on the problem. He succeeded only in tying himself to the sinking economy.

McC's embracing conservative-haters like loser Giuliani and amnesty-pushing Juan Hernandez (Mc's Hispanic Outreach man) made him lose needed traction with the stalwart conservative base----the party's most energetic activists.

McC's nowhere campaign looked more and more like loser Dole's muddled bid.

I think McCain is great. He’s better than a Democrat, he served his country, and we should show him more respect here on FR. Also, this is Palin country, and he has her support.

McC disasters unlimited.

I kept waiting for Prez candidate McC to trip and fall during his disastrous "town hall" debate------ballyhooed as showing McC "at his best."

Watching McC mincing around the forum----he looked like an over-the-hill Home Depot guy working to supplement his SocSec. I kept wondering when he was going to start stirring the paint. His poll numbers dived the next day.

McC queered the deal with conservatives---hooking up with RINO creeps like Giuliani. And (gag) Lieberman (guy sucks up to McC then writes a $100,000 check to the Dems to protect his creds).

McC's sucking up to amnesty-pusher Hernandez (as Americans wake up to 5 million toxic mortgages fraudulently doled out to illegals that are poisoning our economy).

The pukeneos leashed-up McC like a pet dog. War hero McC was supposed to lay out the pukes case for Endless Global War. The very same pukes that duped Bush and lead the US over the cliff into the costly, bloody Iraq abyss. The pukes are also cheerleaders for amnesty. With friends like these...........

All bets are off. They’re killing OUR people. They have NO business crossing our border illegally.

Furious beyond words about Mr. Krentz.

If you live on the border, and they come on your property, your life IS being threatened. Take appropriate measures to protect youself.

I've got to agree with you. If what you want is a rabid disruptor of Conservative action, then John MeCain is not only great, he's absolutely stellar.

My prediction right now is that John will jump the Republican party by August. He is desperate for power, and the will of the people means absolutely nothing to him. He's just too great in his own mind.

Look at John's comments after Jeffers and Spector jumped ship. John blamed the Republican party, not the jumpers. So John has made it quite clear how favorably he sees jumpers.

Check out 2005/01/25 and 2009/04/28. He's just sooooo great!

Is this more infrastructure being 'harmonized' in the effort to establish a one hemispheric entity, the North American Union?  One must ponder, Is John MeCain our Senator, a Mexican Senator ruling from our side of the border, or a representative of the United Nations assigned to relegate the United States to a nation whose citizens have absolutely no way to affect the laws they are subject to?  If we're just part of the North American Union, what real sovereignty will we have?  What ability will we have to demand our laws be changed, if two other nations want those laws because they favor them?
