In the role of Brit Hume this morning, we have Marco Rubio, and playing Juan Williams shall be Charlie Crist.

Whos the last pol you heard who didnt supposedly want to close the border? (And yet, it never gets closed...) It's on the same list as "ending corruption in Medicare". Fantasy promises that they have no intention of honoring.

Yes, exactly. secure. Had my coffee but still sloppy this AM!
Crist did say 'close the border'.
My response was that he will regret saying "close", when most politician's use the wiggle-word "secure" because it gives them leeway to do nothing.

On issue points, Rubio won.
On smear points, Crist won.
Crist seemed more interested in smearing his opponent than in discussing issues. [Isn’t that AZ race sort of following a similar pattern?]

ABC shows interviews of people who attended McCain-Palin rally. Attendees say I wanted to see Sarah but I am supporting JD.

He's been a disaster of a Gov. and is so much like Zero it's amazing.
Chris Wallace unknowingly nailed Crist's coffin door shut by repeatedly asking whether or not he would run as a pubbie or NPA--stuff like that confuses people so bad they won't vote for such an idiot.
And that is Crist--he's hollow core--black on Monday and by Friday white again.

"I don't see the interest unless you are a voter in FLA or a campaign supporter. For the vast majority of us it is not really very relevant. Nothing we can do about who FLA chooses to run for Senate." It most certainly is if you pay attention to national party politics. Marco is the first to go against the party elites (NRSC and John Cornyn) in that they endorsed Crist just minutes after he announced last May (about 15 months before a scheduled primary). Marco had announced three months earlier and nobody paid attention. Marco was labeled as the first Tea Party candidate before the Scott Brown election came to light.
So this pits the Tea Party against the National Republicans and right now Marco is troucing Crist and the NRSC still headlines Crist on its web page. We should all use this to tell the party elites that we can make our own decisions and to STAY THE HELL OUT OF OUR PRIMARIES. This also has huge implications for McCain since he also endorses Crist.

Okay, they are making a big deal of how wonderful passing Medicare was. Do they think that we don’t know that it’s going broke, that it is killing us financially.

The NRSC made the same mistake here in CO. Voting GOPers are not happy with the nationally anointed candidate.
