Robert Gibbs Compares John McCain’s Obstinance To That Of A “Six-Year-Old”

Following the passing of health care reform, an angry GOP has pretty consistently pledged to hinder or impede all other political items on the Obama administration’s agenda. Most notably, Senator John McCain claimed that he will no longer work with Democrats and the White House on any issue. “There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year,” he said after the vote. “They have poisoned the well in what they’ve done and how they’ve done it.” If you happen to think that those words sound like a six-year-old child, then you may have a lot in common with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

Leaving aside the fact that McCain might be the most compliant Republican Senator at least since Specter left the party, comments like this prove that Obama only hires D-bags to represent him.

Gibbs is an embarrassment to the position he holds, the building he works in. He is, however, a perfectly fine representative of his boss.

McLame is a fool. If he wants to sabotage Dim proposals, just do it. Don’t put in a press release. Does he really think Arizona primary voters are that stupid? Maybe they are..

Very well stated!

McCain has to pretend to be conservative and talk big — election year.

McCain will talk big and crumble -— Republican’s very own Stupack.

Now do you get it, Senator McCain?
Your love for the institution (as opposed to the love for the people it represents) has blinded you to the fact that your “good friends” across the aisle hate your guts.
Why don’t you wake up and help save the country?

McCain will deliver the cold shoulders up to the point that the winner of the primary is determined.

I look at how they govern, and I look at how the speak to the public ...

And I think about the joy that Italians must have felt when they saw Mussolini's corpse dangling from that scaffold.

I would prefer just to listen to him give his concession speech. Joe Biden isn’t the answer to our problems.

Well, if that’s true, Gibbs, then McCain beats you by at least four years.

If McNice would have done this BEFORE the last election we may very well have been talking about President McCain and Vice President Palin.

However "Mr. Reach Across the Isle" tripped over his own crank every chance he got to show that he was a true friend to democrats and pi$$ed all over his own supporters.

Now our Republic may not survive.

Please go home McLame. You've done enough damage to my country.... Just go....

Gibbs is the perfect insane BambiBot. McCain was practically glued to Bambi's backside during the campaign, which is why he lost. He has maintained that uncomfortable posture pretty steadily ever since until very recently.

However, either he fears that he won't be reelected or he has had a conversion experience...in any case, comparing him to a "six year old" having a tantrum is just appalling. None of Bush's press secretaries said the sort of thing that Bambi's information minister is saying, even with much greater provocation, and it just reminds me how much I hate Gibbs and his boss and what they are doing to this country.

Let's put this into context:

"Look, let me just clarify that," McCain said of his previous remarks during an appearance on Fox News. "If it's in the national interest and there's something that requires us to work together -- a national emergency, something that we think will help the country -- sure."...But the Arizona Republican, who is up for reelection this fall, still said it was difficult to envision a situation where the two parties would want to sit down with each other to work together on an issue.

The headline is more inflammatory than the content.

McCain is campaigning, just trying to sell himself and it’s probably a lie.
