ORLANDO, FL -- Moments after Congress voted to approve President Obama's health care legislation, Florida's Attorney General announced he will file a lawsuit to declare the bill unconstitutional.
Bill McCollum will join Attorneys General from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, Washington, North Dakota and South Dakota to file a lawsuit against the federal government.
"The health care reform legislation passed by the U. S. House of Representatives this evening clearly violates the U.S. Constitution and infringes on each state's sovereignty," McCollum said in a statement distributed late Sunday night.
"If the President signs this bill into law, we will file a lawsuit to protect the rights and the interests of American citizens."
McCollum will hold a press conference at his Orlando office Monday morning to discuss his plans.
That is why we put our trust in God and not men. Mankind will always fail; God is always faithful.
This will be a hoot.
I own nothing. I have no income and so do not file a tax return, haven’t for years. Why file a piece of paper that says $0.00?
So how do I live? I take care of elderly relatives. They provide me with room and board, even allow me to use their computer.
I guess the Feds will have to throw me, also an old Navy vet, into the grey-bar hotel.
The sooner the better.
Wondering if Mike Cox in MI is on board. It would certainly give a huge boost to his run for governor.
Wait and see...I don’t think he has the...cherries, personally.
He stated on FB he would only if the Deem/pass was used. If he doesn’t, he gives Hoekstra lots of ammunition.
Looking for NY on the list.
What? No NY?
Bahhaaahaaa!
Alaska!
The time for prayers and talking is over.
The States can also overthrow the bill with a 75% vote (I’ve heard that we have 80% onboard).

DOJ would defend them. Rightly so. Any such suits are arising out of actions they took in the course and scope of their elected positions.
This was just the "stamp act"...
Only way to do that would be through a Bivins action, alleging that they violated your individual constitutional rights.
I don’t see a court letting that one through.
The government will pay for those who don't have money, just like we do now for the 60 million people on Medicaid. Obamacare adds another 11 to 15 million more to the rolls. The states pay half the cost. In the bill, poor people are automatically enrolled in the Medicaid system if they show up at a hospital without insurance. And the check to see if they are citizens is non-existent.
The IRS will go after the people who can afford health insurance and choose not to. They will have to pay a fine or go to jail.
I was simply asking which country in this world is freer than we are and pays less taxes... I am under no illusion that after last night’s bill we are a free people (and I am fully aware that our freedoms have eroded tremendously in the last 200 years). I’m just wondering WHERE on Earth we COULD go to be MORE free? I’d rather fight to restore our country, personally. It was an honest question, although I admit my post had a snarky attitude attached.
And all God’s people said ‘AMEN’!!!
Please spread the word.
