If there were any lobbyists from the healthcare industry, I never saw or heard from them. Were they lied to? Likely and they were suckered. Why didn't they send their employees out with signs and join in the protests? Are they so vilified that they just want to remain hidden?

I'd like to hear from healthcare workers here...vents, fears, stories, what you heard inside your companies...also, if anyone has any actual stories they heard from friends who work for the healthcare industry, insurance companies, etc.

like the banks, they let themselves be intimidated by this unctuous black thug and his tiny exhibitionist chief of staff

cowering and hoping the crocodile will eat them, last

what happened to the kind of brave patriots in business suits who took down Flt 93 and rescued or died with hundreds of strangers in the WTC on 9-11?

They will have some nice years but when the bill utterly fails the next step is single payer.

Right.

The Dems fooled them — 30 million new customers!! But... required coverage for pre-existing conditions? They’ll be out of business in ten years and replaced by single payer/government healthcare.

Like most companies/ individuals that know collapse is on the way, they’re likely divesting themselves of U.S. assets.

Per Krauthammer insurance companies starting tonight are subsidiaries of the government. Nationalized.

The health insurance companies will now be “conduits” for the government.

BTW, I worked for CIGNA for 10 years.

The insurers are going to be contractors to the state. They pick up millions of new customers and don’t have the responsibility of worrying about getting paid.

They’ve just become the fanny and freddie of the insurance world.

I'm not so sure that the insurance companies aren't going to make money for awhile. I think they haven't really looked down the line yet. For the most part the insurance and pharm companies have been in the pockets of the dems for a long time.

The ones who are going to really feel the pain are you and I. When we give up, THEN the insurance companies will go down the tubes.

Someone needs to remind them how that worked out.

This has to be a joke.

This is a bill written by the health care lobbyists. They have been all over it for over a year.

Why is it you suppose you don't have health insurance companies subject to the Anti-Trust Acts; can't buy health insurance across state lines; can't buy effective major medical; etc.?

Why is it you suppose you are going to continue spending one dollar for every forty-four cents of health care you buy?

Gimme a break! This is the save the medical insurance industry bill--why they have spent more money on lobbyists and buying politicians over the last five years than anyone else.

My GF is from Canada, and believe it or not: the socialist system in british columbia is MORE FAIR than the actual bill that was being ‘approved’ in the debate...

The doctors in her department in the UC Valley hospital are already contemplating shutting down their departments in 2 months.
