The only way I can sleep at night is to fight this RIGHT AWAY. November is too far away with this kind of lawless government at the helm. This only emboldens them to do whatever is next on their agenda. They admit to making it up as they go ... and they haven’t been stopped yet. This is hard to stomach. We’ve never stood up to them before, I’m sure they think we’ll take this and roll over again.
As a nation, we can fight this... there are legal and moral ways to get their attention. We have a nation to save!
As with Ahab, declaring his continuing pursuit of the whale even though he knows his fight is lost, so shall we find rebirth in continuing our struggle against those who will exert their power over us. God, give us the strength to win back our republic for our future generations. So help me God!
Oh, lonely death on lonely life! Oh, now I feel my topmost greatness lies in my topmost grief. Ho, ho! from all your furthest bounds, pour ye now in, ye bold billows of my whole foregone life, and top this one piled comber of my death! Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hells heart I stab at thee; for hates sake I spit my last breath at thee. Sink all coffins and all hearses to one common pool! and since neither can be mine, let me then tow to pieces, while still chasing thee, though tied to thee, thou damned whale! Thus, I give up the spear!”
Bless you, onyx! :)
Thanks for the very timely reminder from a founding father! This will be a battle, all right, although without guns and ships this time...
Stay vigilant! active! brave! and strong...we have the numbers, if we continue to have the will and intelligence.
So, Stupak caved, the others followed and now we have a passed sociaized medicine bill? (Ive been taking a nap)
There has not been a vote, it is not over.
Let’s not let the enemy own a victory 1 second before it should.
There is still hope, keep in prayer; we may be blessed to witness some miracles today!!!
Thank you for the link!
I’m pinging myself so that I will remember to join!
so are dems going to do this same thing we are doing right now about revising the remarks....
Saying he didn't want "to keep the whole world waiting" any longer, Bart Stupak (D., Mich.) told reporters on Capitol Hill he was "pleased to announce that we have an agreement ... to protect the sanctity of life in health-care reform."
The agreement comes in the form of an executive order from President Obama promising that the Hyde Amendment restrictions on the federal funding of abortion will extend to the current health-care bill.
Text of the White House executive order is here.
That's all, folks.
>A Constitutionalist Democrat? Show me one GD (forgive me Lord) one, just one fkng Democrat that cares what the Constitution says or feels bound by it.
You miss the point. You are assuming that ‘Republican’ implies ‘Constitutionalist.’ McCain is, of course, a counter-example which invalidates the ENTIRE implication. {’Implication’ in the Logic-sense.}
>As for Ron Paul hes a broken clock politician, hes been right twice. Audit the fed and maybe making pot legal
Ok, how’s this? We needed a Constitutional Amendment to criminalize, nationally, alcohol... why then is Marijuana [or any other substance] nationally illegal? Why is there an agency with national jurisdiction on Alcohol [the aforementioned amendment WAS repealed], Tobacco [which has NEVER had a Constitutional amendment regarding it], or Firearms [which has a Constitutional amendment PROHIBITING the Government restriction thereof]?
> - if half the moonbats who worked to get Obama elected sat home smoking pot, theyd never been able to stuff the ballot boxes or make it to the voting booth - the pizza industry would be thriving though.
>
>Thats Dope and Change I can believe in....
So, is your gripe against Democrats-specifically, or against government ‘leaders’ who ignore or selectively-enforce the Constitution? That is to ask, would you vote for someone [sat 3rd party] who you knew was a Constitutionalist before major-party candidates whom you knew to NOT be Constitutionalists?
I actually e-mailed a poster that I believe men are taking this very hard....after all so many of them saw friends and families die for our freedoms....and they are our protectors...they are wired for that....I just think it’s especially hard on the men of our nation.
“Im going out to mow my property while both acres are still mine.”
I am feeling the same way. I think one of us should give up our jobs so that pelosi and mugaobami will get only half our taxes.
The chamber got plenty calm after Stupak’s sell out — that’s for sure. Keep fighting guys!!
Agree 100%
Correct. Three parties split the vote. Democrats will keep getting elected. Have to work on cleaning out the Republican party amd work on opposing all Democrats. Every last one of them.
Bless you and thank you!!!
Your thread was precisely what I needed.
I just can’t get my head around what those Marxists are about to do.
God Bless these patriots who have sacrificed an entire weekend to represent us in DC.
May God smile on them, and give them all a safe trip home.
Problem is, if I strike, no one will notice.
