3 PM Obama meets with the Democratic caucus

2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.
3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.
5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.
6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.
It is probable that Cavuto’s sources are correct. If so, as a journalist, he has a responsibilty to report that. FoxNews is a NEWS channel. It’s not MSNBC where supporting Obama is the only order of business. You can bet dollars to donuts that if the numbers were coming back against the bill MSNBC would be hiding them like a cheating husband hides his motel bills.

Speaking of BOR, the self-described “simple man” - he declared that Obama would be “finished” if they pass HCR by Demon Pass (aka “Deem and Pass” or “Slaughter Solution”).
I took this as his attempt to “warn” Obama, that it would damange his Presidency if he allows it to happen. Just another example of the BORing one being in the tank for Obaman no matter how much he protests.
But maybe if they jam it thru under Demon Pass, he’ll finally at least call Obama a Socialist, instead of just “a far left guy”.
I don’t have anything in one place, but call them out for hiding behind the “reducing the budget deficit” scam. The latest flippers all seem to be touting the CBO estimate - not an official Scoring, mind you.
1) They are reducing the payments to doctors under Medicare now to claim cost savings. But when they later vote in the “Dr. Fix”, as it is called, it will add $59 billion to the deficit.
2) They claim that the savings in Medicare - that are supposed to shore up Medicare - are being used to reduce the deficit of $500 Billion, will actually increase the deficit - to the tune of $260 BILLION over the next decade.
3) And the biggie... When they don’t have the will to turn on the Labor Unions and actually implement the Cadillac Tax, the $1.2 Trillion in savings the the CBO “projects”, now becomes an increase in the deficit of approx. $600 Billion.
If I did my math right, that is almost of $2.3 TRILLION in additional deficits that they have cleverly “hidden” - never mind the gross mismanagement that always occurs when the government tries to do ANYTHING!
You can also ask them about specific provisions in the Senate Bill.
4) Ask them about the need to hire an additional 17,000 IRS agents to oversee this bureaucracy and the fact that the IRS will have real time access to your personal banking information.
5) Ask them why they are adding almost $6,000 in potential costs via additional payments under TRICARE for Life for Veterans and their spouses.
6) Ask them why they are adding a “Medicare Tax” to interest and dividend income - penalizing seniors. Particularly nice considering what investment returns are going to be after all of this c**p is implemented.
7) Ask them why they are limiting Seniors access to Medicare Advantage supplemental insurance?
8) Ask them why they will penalize doctors who accept fee for service payments?
9) Ask them why they have to implement specific language on Page 203 Line 14-15 HC: “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.” They specifically refer to this as a fee, so they can CLAIM that they aren’t raising taxes.
10) Ask them the purpose of the 194 new federal agencies.
11) Ask them this is not intended to “force” a single-payer option on us? Make it easier for business to pay the fine than to provide health care. There goes The One’s pledge that “you can keep your health care plan”. There won’t be any.
12) Ask them how it is fiscally responsible to force insurance companies to insure high risk people - or more perversely, let people opt in the day they get run over by a truck. See my point 11 on the end game of single payer - force the insurance companies out of business.
13) Ask them to specifically respond to Steve Wynn’s and Caterpillar’s public comments on the impact on business and how does this reconcile with “focusing on jobs”. You can also throw in the effect on the budget deficit when this really hits businesses and it’s resulting further loss in tax revenues.

Page 425 Lines 4-12: The Govt mandates “Advance-Care Planning Consult.”
Page 425 Lines 17-19: The Govt will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney, etc. (And it’s mandatory!)
Page 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3: The Govt provides an “approved” list of end-of-life resources; guiding you in death.
Page 427 Lines 15-24: The Govt mandates a program for orders on “end-of-life.”
Page 429 Lines 1-9: An “advanced-care planning consultant” will be used frequently as a patient’s health deteriorates.
Page 429 Lines 10-12: An “advanced care consultation” may include an ORDER for end-of-life plans.
Page 429 Lines 13-25: The GOVT will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
And they laughed at Sarah Palin’s “Death Panel” comment.
Make them really mad and focus on one topic at a time and send numerous faxes!!!

I believe he’s decided and has been since day one. There are no consequences for a yes vote in his gerrymandered district.
I agree with most of your post. Although the election of Scott Brown changes a great many of those really blue, really liberal states with their reps. Or maybe Romney Care is the difference and the other blue & very liberal districts just don’t realize they really don’t want this YET. I’d think with the NJ election of their GOP Governor AND with Scott Brown in MA that would give cause for any liberal to slow down, take a look and say hmmm maybe this vote is too much. I really don’t put that much into the VA returning to GOP and hope more from VA wake up and smell the coffee.
All the new taxes, increased taxes and all the SHALL for the Dept. HHS Secretary scares the heck out of me, waiting or trying to get a doctor appt. and whether they will deem me or my kids as deserving of whatever treatment AND IF they can do it with health care, they will continue with amnesty and cap & tax and whatever else they dream up keeps me awake at night these days.
Great news. I figured once he hits the minus 20 range, he’ll never climb back up.

I think you are exactly right. I don't know why Cavuto was so quick to suggest that it's over but the singing because of the cancellation of the Stupak press conference because my first thought was just as you said.
Lookit, the Fox guys are ALL quick to say they think this is going to pass. Krauthammer said it night before last, Cavuto today...Hannity goes back and forth.
I hear this pundit or that pundit say it's all over and I turn to another channel...wake me when it's over. Yet every day I check the news and every day I see no smirking Nancy Pelosi or big victory parties and hey, it's driving me nuts is what I'm saying here.
We got sidetracked for a bit- we never get to see committee meetings broadcast- so it was a fascinating glimpse.
Also- it was going over some issues having to do with THE BILL.
