Call Bart's office! Now!!

Posted on 03/05/2010 8:54:55 AM PST by republicanbred

I just got off the telephone after calling Bart Stupak's office to show my support for him. We used to live in his district 20 years ago, and he is the only democrat I have ever voted for. Bart is a good guy and he is courageous to stand up for life. PLEASE call his office and show your thanks for his stand. You know he is getting unbearable pressure from the left (probably waterboarding him ~ ha!) to cave, let him know what he is doing is noble and how much you appreciate it. Mnay politicians don't care what people think of them, but I promise you that Bart Stupak is a good man...and does!

Make sure he knows that even if the bill precludes abortion, Obama will use friendly judges to force it into the law.

After months of negotiations, Congress has moved a step closer than ever before to passing legislation that will provide access to quality, affordable health care for all Americans. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962) by a vote of 220 to 215 on November 7, 2009. I voted in support of this critical legislation.
...
Health care is not a privilege it is a basic right that should be afforded to all Americans. In reforming health care, Congress is building on the existing framework by making it easier for employers to provide health insurance through government-sponsored programs.

Health care is not a privilege it is a basic right?

i live in his district now. he voted for the healthcare once already and he said he would not for it. next we in his district heard that he believed healthcare reform was needed. when he wants help he begs for it. bart stupak is nothing but another RAT parasite, I will be damned if I am going to call. he had a chance to vote NO instead he wanted some fame and glorification of himself so he could come back to Michigan and run for Governor. tell Bart he is a Fart = nothing but hot air

Well, he and his Stu-pack is probably the only thing standing between us and nationalized health care so it is like those who would not vote for McCain beacuse he was the least of two evils. How do you like that decision now that we are living in Obama-hell? IMHO I think a call showing our support for his stand is better than the alternative...

Sad we have to grovel and beg these guys to do the right thing. Bart Stupak is your basic useless lefty wingnut moron and would get no press if he didn’t feign outrage over abortion. As Mark Levin says..Yes I said it, the guy is a fraud, but he is our fraud now. We let our government through our own sloth and indifference let the lazy and useless influence our political system since Woodrow Wilson into the sorry state it is. Looks eerily like Rome 5th Century.

Too bad we can’t praise Bob Casey the same way. The very first vote that came before him regarding abortion, he took the extreme position by voting in favor of federal funding for it. Pro-life Democrat? Yeah, right. And to think he replaced Rick Santorum who really was pro-life.

Bart Stupak has been voting pro-life since I lived in his district 20 years ago. He has a 0% positive voting score from NARAL and a 100% pro-life score from NRLC. You can say what else you want about Stupack but he is not “feigning” pro-life for the media. I love Mark Levin but he does not have his facts straight on this one.

Well all due respect but you sleep with dogs and you get fleas, the guy is a leftwing toady. If you vote with, support and associate with abortion supporters..ummm well you tacitly agree with them. It's in their damn platform for crying out loud, the guy is a zero, not even debatable. But we will see, he votes for the bill and you will see he's a fraud. Sad you quote NARAL to buttress your opinion, they would give Margaret Sanger herself a failing grade if they could, that is one sick demented organization.

Well, I could be wrong on Bart, but if he is swayed and caves on this one I will have lost all faith in politicians, every last one of them...

Oh and Stupak has a ACU rating of 16, lifetime 21.0 pretty lousy. I hope he does the right thing and does’nt take another bite out of the fecal sandwich again.

Stupak is a liberal, but he is 100% pro-life. Just because no one that is pro-abortion could correctly be deemed a conservative does not mean that liberals can’t be pro-life.

On GradeGov.com (a website for grading Congress critters) the folks in his District have given him an average grade of:

Democrats: “C”

Republicans: “D-”

Independents: “F”

The people in his District know him best and think he is a “weasling” hypocrite. Check it out: www.gradegov.com
