John Roberts, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, is seriously considering stepping down from the nations highest court for personal reasons, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Roberts, known for his conservative judicial philosophy, has served on the Supreme Court since 2005, having been nominated by President George W. Bush after the death of former Chief William Rehnquist.
RadarOnline.com has been told that Roberts, 55, could announce his decision at any time.
The decision paves the way for President Barack Obama to make his second appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court following his first, Sonia Sotomayor.
Im assured by the well-informed that rumors that John Roberts is stepping down from the Supreme Court are baseless nonsense.
You would be smart to do so. I have no idea why this was even posted. It’s some stupid blog.
Not to be seen as a defense of John McCain, but for the better part of 230 years, this was the language of the US Senate. Senators would always preface criticism of their fellow Senators - if they were critical at all - with "I have great respect for..."
It is only in the last several years, with the election of people like ALFRANKEN, have we seen almost complete erosion of the comity that has prevailed for so many years.
I wouldn't, and don't, get too bent out of shape when one Senator says something nice about another. As a practical matter, they're probably lying.
As it stands, with this Reconciliation mess, the Senate will become indistinguishable from the House - a kind of bare-knuckles brawl that never ends - and that is precisely NOT what the framers intended.
Radar on Line broke the Tiger Woods story.

That's how all things are traded... ;)
Accuse enough people of having love children and you’ll probably find one.
I think it’s BS too.
But, very sad that our liberty depends on 4 + 1 very iffy people. Very, very sad.
No, Drudge first put up the story. Then a few minutes later he put up another line saying “top court source”
Nothing from Roberts..

You are correct. My bad. I still think that Obama and company will be trying to find any dirt on the conservative Supreme Court justices. King Obama already knows that they have been a "fly in the ointment" on campaign finance reform.
No.
The ruling did not address the question of same sex marriage, only legal jurisdiction, and it pointed out that future cases would more directly address the issue.
Try explaining to the crazies around here. I hear several times a day that McCain would have been worse than Obama.
Maybe this will cure them ... but I doubt it.
I trust KJ more than Radar Online, but the earlier comment about the accuracy on Cheeta Woods still gives me pause
Silly rumors as in 99.99% of the crap they publish in every issue. Getting one story right does not make them credible.
I may be wrong but wasn’t it TMZ that broke the Woods story?
But we have the guns...just sayin’
Laugh if you want, but I've been monitoring the National Enquirer since they broke the John Edwards story & ROL since they broke the Tiger Woods story.
They are relentless when they get a story, unlike the mainstreams.
I would like to see the tabloids go after the healthcare bill.
