OK, who tattled to whom that tattled to whom that told DeMint about the big secret? Heads are going to roll when Bummer learns about this :-)

That particular letter is getting deader and deader as more and more blue dogs get cold paw pads.

However, I expect Senate Parliamentarian, Alan Frumin to do his part and follow the rules.

I think Stupak has realized he cant trust them to change the abortion language after the fact. He said yesterday he didnt think the House would come close to passing the Senate bill on the promise of later reconciling the abortion language.
On another topic, I still dont understand how the House can pass a bill that originated in the Senate, since this is a revenue bill and revenue bills have to start in the House.

I am expecting it to pass, but I pray it does not.
Either way, Dems are going to get toasted come Novemeber....having it pass will only exacerbate the toasting.

The dems can’t be THAT stupid. You are saying they house will vote for the cornhusker kickback? Whoa. If that happend Repubs will certainly take the house and senate in nov.
To: ncalburt
It's been obvious from the start.
The whole phony "reconciliation" had to start with the House passing the Senate bill.
What happens when they do that? Presto, we've got Obamacare! The deed is done. They don't need to go any further.
The rest of the plot is all window dressing.

That’s what I’ve been reading, once the House approves the Senate bill, it goes straight to Obama’s desk, he signs it and goes Nyah! Nyah! Nyah!
The 2,400-page Senate bill will be law and there’s nothing that can force them to “reconcile” anything.

If I were to go on TV I would prefer to be interviewed by Greta..she is the most fair on TV.
DeMint is the first I’ve heard also publicly say they will run on repealing this monstrosity.

Exactly correct-the issue is getting the House to vote for the Senate version, after that the Reconciliation Bill is meaningless.

The House members can vote for it on the”certain knowledge” that there will be amendments made after the fact. Then they can have their cake and eat it, too. They can vote for it then tell their constituents they were betrayed when it doesn’t come back for the “Reconciliation.”
