I’m pretty sure Humble has the best sense of humor on this site. Bar none.

BTW if you missed it Ron Paul had another easy primary win, over 80% against 3 challengers.

Kay can at least take that (Ronnie Earle losing) home as consolation.

Relief is right!

Was watching the returns all night — didn’t want a run-off and didn’t want Medina over 20%. I was getting text messages updating me as well.

What a pain in the patootie she is.

So she is as bad with bedpans as she is counting?

In this particular case, the loon would have been preferable to the tyrant.

I don’t know anything about the candidates there but if a Republican ever wins that seat I bet it’s gonna be a Hispanic one.

No surprise, establishment incumbent with virtually no attention on his campaign before the past week or so.

Did you not hear her 9/11 Trutherish interaction with Glenn Beck?

LOL! Well, Squantos did remind us of a classic humblegunner comment about Medina's abilities: "This thermometer tastes like sh*t!"

We're safe! Even though Medinkie-dink refuses to call Perry and is still hoping for a runoff. (How egotistic!)

I wonder if she realizes that if there is a run off, she won’t be in it, even if KBH conceded?

Good question, actually. She may not realize that she wouldn’t be in a runoff.

She hasn’t struck me as the sharpest knife in the drawer thus far.

Speaking of precinct meetings (or conventions), four of us showed up at ours tonight. Our precinct was entitled to send about 17 delegates (and a bunch of alternates) to the next level convention, so the four of us voted for ourselves and left about 13 slots vacant. And two of the four said they would not attend the next level convention. I went primarily to see if any Paulbots showed up. I’m pretty sure none did.

The Republican Party conventions seem pretty useless. If Paulbots, Truthers, or Birthers took over the entire machinery (including the state convention), I really cannot see how it would matter. They could pass a bunch of pointless resolutions, but nothing else as far as I can see.

East Williamson County.

Poll worker at my neighborhood poll said they had twice the amount of people show up than did in 2006. Almost all Republican.

I calculated that almost 71% of the voters state wide voted in the Republican primary.

I call our precinct the Red Hat Lady society. Only a couple of us under 40, just a social club for old ladies and if you aren’t in their circle, they’ll just have you sit in the corner. One thing the Paultards do well is taking these over and getting their people to be active in them. We need to think about this here in the future and focus on education and planning for these positions.

I've long found it amusing how many around here feel utterly threatened by an outsider like Medina with ZERO chance of winning because she hangs out with a couple truther fruitloops, but they don't seem bothered at all by an incumbent who has a known and documented record of:

1. Signing a "hate crimes" bill into law
2. Signing a new franchise tax into law
3. Flip-flopping on illegal immigration to the pro-amnesty side after running against it in the election
4. Appointing an abortionist judge to the Texas Supreme Court, where his first ruling was to weaken the parental consent law
5. Issuing an executive order that mandated all schoolgirls in Texas receive the Gardasil STD vaccine.
6. Serving as Al Gore's presidential campaign chairman in 1988 before he flipped parties to ride the changing electoral tide.

No, don't pay any attention to Rick Perry's many and documented liberal flip-flopper faults. It's more important that we stop the truther lady who's polling in the mid teens. Stop her from what? Now that I don't know...unless it's breaking into the low 20's. But dag nabbit, she must be stopped!
