I guess this means that Hutchison won’t resign after all. I was looking forward to Michael Williams succeeding her this year. Oh, well, maybe in 2012.

The NRSC wants Kay Bailey to stay until 2012. They don’t want to spend money in Texas which could be used for Mark Kirk or Carly Fiorna.

No.. it shows people can be deceived just like they were for Obama. Politics is nasty business..I tried to warn Medina she was going to be used as cannon fodder beforehand..she walked right into Kays barrel. Thank God it didn’t work and Perry held...not crazy about him either but Texas has been in a better place than the rest of the states and for that Texans should be grateful this is so.

Don’t listen to anyone who says he’s a moderate. He’s a typical pinko who tries to hide it by lying.

Looks like another runoff in the 23rd between Francisco Canseco and an ‘Anglo’.

Both Chet and Ciro need to go.

Say what you want but you got to believe there are a lot of people fed up with the two party system.
Maybe not Ron Paul or Ross Perot but sooner or later a true Leader will emerge.
It’s no surprise that a virtual unknown, outspent by 50 times could take 20% of the vote.
Conservatives need to stand up and demand...
1)Term Limits
2)Tax Relief and simplification
2)Fiscal Responsibility
3)And that the Lawmakers need to live under the same laws the people are forced to endure

“Did you have a GOP Precinct Meeting by yourself and nominate yourself Precint Chairman?”

Naw, I figured I'd just let ‘em mail the sash and scepter to me...

I supported the Anglo (Lyle Larson) in 2008 because he’d won local elections there repeatedly. But I think that Canseco should get the nomination now.

She said previously she’d resign win or lose.

But why would she? Unless she really wants out of there. She’s already changed her mind once, she was originally gonna resign long before this primary.

Whenever she goes I hope Williams succeeds her.

There will be a runoff to be the nominee against Chet. Bill Flores and Rob Curnock will face off.

Looks like Victor Carrillo is going to lose as RR Commish. Best way to win a GOP primary in Texas: run against a Hispanic?

Who is Carrillo’s opponent? I thought Carrillo one of the better statewide officials, and I did not know that he was in trouble. I suspect many primary voters did not recognize him as the incumbent from Abilene.

"Someday, someone will explain to me why KBH ran for governor."

Naked ambition.

She knows she could never be seriously considered a candidate for President without first having been a governor.

After the defeat of Victor Carrillo for Railroad Commissioner, why do you think fellow Commissioner Michael Williams could win a Senate open election?

David Porter, an accountant.

Michale Williams would be a step up from Kay Bailey. If the Senate seat does open up, expect Debra Medina to run again. I suspect she will be the Jim Oberweis of Texas.

Chet is popular in B-CS, where people are looking for federal grants for TAMU, etc.

ROFL - yes, the thermometer post was a classic!

Medina will not concede tonight. What a pain in the patootie she is.
