Despite the bragging of Ron Paul fans, Medina failed to crack 20%. Good news for the TX GOP. Come June, there will be a TX GOP Convention. With Medina’s poor showing tonight, it means the Ron Paul fans will only be a minor annoyance.

Maybe, but I think she was DOA once the animosity towards Washington kicked up.

On the Texas forum there are a lot of comments about how there are no dem voters and lines of Republicans. When we voted (Hood County) at about 2 PM, there were 33 Republican voters in line...and two Democrats.

Bill Flores wins Brazos Co. by 3000 votes over Dave McIntyre. Looks like Flores will finish in 1st with about 33%, Rob Curnock 2nd with 28%.
I think Flores will have the edge in the runoff; he wins Brazos strongly and holds his own in Curnock's base on McLennan.

Why is she conceding....the lead is narrowing.
The precincts still waiting to report are solidly Perry country(supposedly). Besides, she'll get slaughtered in a runoff and that's not good for her future political aspirations.

One picks his primary on election day For the last 50 years that is the way it has been done in Missouri.

LOL- The Paultards actually think that KBH staying in the race was a conspiracy against Medina.LOL. Listening to KLIF now with both JD Wells and Jeff Bolton on saying how great Medina is and how she will run for governor again and how miraculous it is she got 17% of the vote. These two guys are sick in the head. "The game has only begun and the fight is not over." What a pair.

Those paultards are some nasty specimens. They’ll jump right out of the petri dish and burrow into whatever orifice they can find. Horrible parasites.

Curnock wins McLennan Co. by only 750 votes over Flores.
I think Flores wins the runoff based on his performance in Brazos Co. and funding advantage. You've gotta figure part of Curnock's support was residual from his 2008 candidacy.
To: rwfromkansas
medina’s vote is, um, a bit high. I wonder if she is getting a lot of votes from dems trying their own version of “operation chaos”.

No I don't recall, I'm not from Texas but supported Perry's run and really fought against Medina soon after she first began her run...correspondence with Medina when I first contacted... she was unable or unwilling to take any stand to speak of, and her whole demeanor was tilted..just not put together at all. They cleaned her up a whole lot as her campaign moved forward...wish more had heard and seen her from the start. They would have surely had a difference of opinion. When she tried to claim the Tea Party as her own they contacted her and were upset she would claim this when they had not stated so. Some tried to line her up as copy cat Palin....there is no comparison whatsoever.

No runoff? Kay being gracious in defeat? Great.
Now Perry can focus on defeating that filthy rodent Bill White who wants get his nasty little claws in redistricting.
