Yikes! My thoughts hadn’t gone that far. Many people will not even be aware of the danger. Prayers up for everyone who is in danger...

“I just looked up pictures of Concepcion, Chile on TripAdvisor. OMG, its a nice city, with beautiful natural environs.”
Its a beautiful country, and they take great pride in it. The nicest country to visit in South America

The 1960 Valdiva quake was about 400 miles south of here, the world’s biggest earthquake.
This looks to be a MEGATHRUST Earthquake, with a whole lot of deep plate mileage letting loose at once. Look for some Chilean Volcanoes to go off on the next few days, as well, just as in 1960.
It also triggered a pacific-wide tsunami that killed 61 people in Hilo Bay,Hawaii, with 35 ft. waves.
