While polls show more people drifting away from acceptance of "global warming," the newest superstar among conservatives – Glenn Beck – is embracing it.
"You'd be an idiot not to notice the temperature change," he says.
He also thinks it could be caused partly by man's activity.
At home, he's going green by using energy-saving products.
"I'm willing to do anything but use the CFLs," he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. "I put them in once and couldn't stand the way they lit up the room."
The kinder, gentler, greener and warmer side of Beck, known as a firebrand conservative, came to light in an interview in USA Weekend.
Beck also has lots of friends on the other side of the political spectrum, he reveals. He calls George Clooney "a good, honest man." Beck says the two of them had an extended conversation about the genocide in Darfur.
"We came to an immediate, completely wholehearted agreement about the situation," Beck says. "That is, to put aside the politics and give troops what they need to protect people over there. He's a good, honest man who believes passionately about doing something about it."
Beck's personal publicist, Matt Hiltzik, is a Democratic power player who helped get Hillary Rodham Clinton elected to the U.S. Senate, says the magazine report.

Ahh, for the good old days when humor was funny and clean, and movie stars loved America the way it was.
Uh, he presented them before she did, according to the date on your link. I don't recall if Glenn named the school or not but any one who named parents or students name is a blithering idiot.
Talk about opening yourself up for a liability law suite.
What she does and what Gelnn does are two wholly different things. She doesn't have time limitations so she can be much more thorough in her presentations. Like I said earlier, if you have to cite every source every time you utter something, you would never get anything said.
BTW, I saw no source citations there, not to say they aren't but I didn't see them.
Glenn presents a plethora of information forom numerous sources. It serves no purpose to spend the time naming them all when time is of the essence.
Focus on the message instead of trying to tear everything apart and nitpicking everything to death, you'll be much more successful that way and maybe, just maybe we'll make some progress in returning our Country to it's foundations.
In other words, don't sweat the small stuff.
Serving them by sabotaging us.
He can’t expose them by agreeing with them, wake up!
And don’t be so impressed by the tap dance.
While I doubt that you’ve done anything that I’d be likely to daydream about, I surely do not want to disparage your service nor experience.
This of course says nothing WRT the blindness that seems to currently affect your assessment of Beck. Apples and Oranges IMO.
He agrees with them?
This article been debunked twice, you do realize that don't you?
And dont be so impressed by the tap dance.
Who's? Yours.
Everything I've seen on Becks show has been backed by historical fact, you're here just spouting out your feelings.
Well said Ron.
:)
Bleep!
The plagiarists creed!
Send him to the Boston Globe.
I don't particularly care for a lot of the media people on our side of the fence, Beck, Savage, Medved, et al, but before I'd turn against them I would make sure I used my best resources against the real enemy: Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Schumer, Waxman...
They have to be laughing up their sleeves at us, watching us self-destruct.
You have to know who the real enemy is and direct your fire at them. It pains me to see this "incoming friendly fire" that is happening on this thread.
What, nothing to back up your assertions, gee, I’m shocked.
Thanks for the ping!
Right. Levin has it going on. Smartest man on radio. I wish the next Republican administration would appoint him Attorney General or to the Supreme Court or something.
So those aren’t Beck’s words?
This contradicts what is in his book.
All we needed was something to explain his crazy behavior.
This does it.
Fliegerabwehrkanone
Republicans sold the American people out, Beck says. Ive always said I was a Reagan-style conservative. But I dont think Reagan was a real Republican. He just maintained some shared values. link (page 3)
Hopefully, people will eventually find out about him.
