White House to kick communications into overdrive to spread message in 2010 By Eric Zimmermann - 02/15/10 09:49 AM ET

The White House is gearing up its communications team to be sharper more aggressive in 2010, the Washington Post reports.

The new strategy is already evident: Biden's dual appearances on Sunday morning shows this weekend, as well as Obama's proposal for a televised healthcare summit later this month, are both part of a White House effort to gain control of the media narrative.

According to the Post, the new effort will have four planks.

First, "return to the disciplined messaging that was a hallmark of the 2008 campaign, in which unhelpful themes were filtered out in favor of topics that advanced the candidate's goals."

Second, "quicker, more aggressive response to GOP attacks on the president and his policies."

Third is advance work: "The image of Obama standing in the Diplomatic Room surrounded by men in dark suits will be replaced, as often as possible, by scenes of a more relaxed president in crowds."

Fourth, the White House will seeks to once again seize the theme of "change."

In general, the White House thinks it has let Congress control the message too often.

"return to the disciplined messaging that was a hallmark of the 2008 campaign, in which unhelpful themes were filtered out in favor of topics that advanced the candidate's goals."

Translation: Concentrate on mouthing glittering generalities and avoid concrete representations about our plans and policies.

"quicker, more aggressive response to GOP attacks on the president and his policies."

Translation: Keep calling our opponents racists.

“The new strategy is already evident: Biden’s dual appearances on Sunday morning shows...”

These people are just people who shout louder when others are disagreeing with them. Zero simply can't believe the masses don't like him anymore. He must not be getting his message out, no? Hey, Nobama, your message is out there, people don't want your ideas anymore!

Does he have a new Communications Director yet, or is it still Anita Dunn?

Obama's Communications Director Anita Dunn caught on tape praising Mao Tse Tung

Anita Dunn is the one who charged Fox News of being a "research arm" of the GOP. No wonder she's worried! Lol! This is a must see video folks!

Anita Dunn, praising mass-murderer Mao Tse Tung and his communist revolution before an audience of **graduating high-schoolers**! (St. Andrews Episcopal school at the Washington National Cathedral). Video link of Glenn Beck segment below...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Anita Dunn: "The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse Tung and Mother Teresa. Not often coupled with each other, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is: You're going to make choices. ... But here's the deal: These are your choices; they are no one else's.

"In 1947, when Mao Tse Tung was being challenged within his own party on his own plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-Shek and the nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army. ... They had everything on their side. And people said 'How can you win? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?'

"And Mao Tse Tung says, 'You fight your war and I'll fight mine.' You don't have to accept the definition of how to do things. ... You fight your war, you let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path."..."

[The following is NOT from Anita Dunn. It's from the author of the linked CNS News article...]

Policies implemented under Mao Tse Tung, including the civil war, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, and persecution in Tibet, among other policies, led to death of an estimated 65 million people, according to The Black Book of Communism (Harvard University Press), which is considered by scholars as one of the best sources on communist atrocities.

Mao also outlawed religion and sent at least 2.5 million people to “re-education camps,” called “laogai,” which were similar to the slave-labor camps in the Gulag of the Soviet Union. An estimated 1,000 laogai reportedly are still in operation today

These people are delusional. Their problem is not that they’re not getting their message out...it’s that the majority of Americans have heard their message and don’t like it.

So instead of merely telling people to accept a program they don’t want, they’re gonna shove it down their throats.

Nice.

Must be satire. “The image of Obama standing in the Diplomatic Room surrounded by men in dark suits will be replaced, as often as possible, by scenes of a more relaxed president in crowds.”

I’ve never seen a POTUS disrespect the office more by goofing off, looking unstatesmanlike and generally dressing like a slob. I guess we should be thankful that his pants aren’t on the ground, though.

It worked so well before for the Dems with George Lakoff, Professor of “Cognitive Linguistics” at U.C. and Naomi Wolf advising Gore to dress in “earth tones” and establish that he is an “Alpha Male.” Keep up the good work, team. See you in November.

The only real antidote to lies is truth.

Lies about the legitimate role of government must be countered with the "self-evident" truth embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the structure of government provided by the Founders' Constitution.

That is why any candidate who aspires to become the anti-Obama candidate must arm himself/herself with the weapon of truth, as revealed in those two documents.

That candidate cannot go to combat with charisma, with popularity, with attractiveness, with rhetoric, or with popular semantic trickery.

That candidate cannot go to combat with a shallow, second-hand knowledge of Ronald Reagan's words and ideas.

That candidate, in order to counteract the Left's attack on the Republic, must care enough to seclude himself/herself for whatever period it takes to immerse himself/herself in the ideas, writings, and speeches of the Founders of America.

Such a candidate will be able to knock down, one by one, the false and counterfeit ideas of his/her opponents.

The threats to liberty are too great, and rescue from the certain demise of the Republic rests on an "enlightened" citizenry, one that can distinguish between truth and error, between individual freedom and slavery to government, and between liberty and tyranny. Any candidate up to the task of leading America back to the path to liberty should be willing to do what it takes to arm himself/herself for that task.

Obama, with his cleverness and shallow understanding of our Constitution's underlying premises, will not be a successful combatant with such a well-informed candidate. He can, however, prevail over a person who only understands 20th and 21st Century talking points about cutting spending and limiting the size of government.

Who will come forth to do battle for posterity?
