This is just beyond asinine. (h/t doubleplusundead)
Sun columnist Jon Ralston is reporting that the Tea Party has qualified as a third party in Nevada and will have a candidate in the Senate race to battle for the seat held by Majority Leader Harry Reid. The party has filed a Certificate of Existence but needs to get 1 percent of the electorate to vote for its candidate in November to permanently qualify, according to the report.
Ralston reported that Jon Ashjian will be the Tea Party's U.S. Senate candidate on the November ballot. Ashjian still must declare his candidacy.
Awesome.....this goes a long way towards ensuring Harry Reid stays the Senator of that State.

Syncro don’t fall for that, EV loves to hijack threads with his anti Palin routine, just leave it alone.
Then you must have a secret about the people of NV that I don’t know.
Danny Tarkanian is the Republican in the primary.
Not only he is Conservative
but, Chuck Heath has come to Nevada to campaign for him
BTW Chuck Heath is the father of Sarah Palin.
That is typical of the little vanity parties, do you really think that Alan Keyes created his own party with the intent of having primaries? Who do you think his Party's nominee will be in 2012? (hint, last name is Keyes)
You are misrepresenting the context, which is sad.
You need to quit stalking me thread to thread posting the same personal attacks and nasty insinuations and lies. It’s against the rules of Free Republic, besides being juvenile.
Agreed Airborne,You know they have got to be scared like hell.
: > )
Not true. In Illinois, we have Greens, Independents, Libertarians, etc., all of which draw off a complex combination of of both liberal and conservative issue-oriented voters, with a net tilt toward liberal voter drain via the Greens. So even if our Republican were not wholly devoted to RINOs, the third parties, on the whole, actually help conservatives trying to get their toe in the door. Sorry to burst the bubble of the third party bashers, but that’s the way it is here. Frankly, I think we’re worse off than MA. Third parties are our friend.
Don’t start that nonsense, I haven’t made a personal attack, you have and are, and have been calling me names.
Compare our posts. I am focused on third party politics.
Illinois Republicans self-destructed on the Obama seat by pulling the plug on conservative Fitzpatrick and running an easily defeated RINO. If one didn’t know better, you would think it was planned, because no one could be that stupid, could they?
It is utter stupidity to play that game at this point. In this particular election it would be best to ensure that the traitorous Senate leader get thoroughly defeated.
When are the R's going to finally start thinking strategically?
You’re focused on harassing me thread to thread. That’s obvious.
In primaries they are fine. However, in certain races it would be best to ensure the utter defeat of one of the most vile senators to ever serve. There is a true conservative running on the R ticket.
The GOP itself is the Democrats' dream.
EV, you may be a professional, and your posting here may simply be part of your duties as a chairman of an obscure political party, but I will not be intimidated by your repeated personal attacks, name calling and insults of a personal nature.
It would be so much more pleasant for everyone if you would lay off the personal stuff.
OK, Barry Levinson is a personal injury/bankruptcy attorney. He owns a huge law firm. I can tell it’s the same Barry Levinson because the address on their constitution is the same as on his website.

Ambulance chaser doesn’t usually scream “genuine conservative” but everybody has to make a living, no matter how unsavory.
Curtis Atwood — Atwood Building & Development (LV), contractor
Eric Scholer — Scholer Steele & Associates (LV), insurance
Keith Ozawa — American Leak Detection (LV), contractor
“Leland Keith Ozawa, Jr. (CRD #2119830, Registered Representative, Las Vegas, Nevada) submitted a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent in which he was fined $5,000 and suspended from association with any NASD member in any capacity for two months. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Ozawa consented to the described sanctions and to the entry of findings that he participated in private securities transactions without providing prior written notice to, and receiving written approval from, his member firm.
Ozawa’s suspension began October 21, 2002, and will conclude at the close of business December 20, 2002. (NASD Case #C02020046)”
Looks like Scholer and the Haydens are related:

“Dr.” Sid James (that kind of waving of useless credentials screams third party jerk to me) doesn’t have much of a web footprint.
Bottom line: They seem to all be related or connected via real estate in Las Vegas (except maybe the lawyer). There’s virtually nothing that can be found about them, including activity in the Tea Party itself.
They could be genuine, but they could also be a bunch of jerks trying to use the Tea Party to get some attention for themselves. With the incestuous nature of the group (they all seem to be from Las Vegas) they certainly don’t represent a larger movement.
Quit harrassing me thread to thread.
I came to the same conclusions when I pecked around. The fact that none of them have donated to any political party or candidate is suspicious. Why do you form a party if you have never been involved in politics before?
