Tea Party Candidate May Ensure A Harry Reid Win
Flopping Aces ^ | 02-13-10 | Curt

This is just beyond asinine. (h/t doubleplusundead)

Sun columnist Jon Ralston is reporting that the Tea Party has qualified as a third party in Nevada and will have a candidate in the Senate race to battle for the seat held by Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The party has filed a Certificate of Existence but needs to get 1 percent of the electorate to vote for its candidate in November to permanently qualify, according to the report.

Ralston reported that Jon Ashjian will be the Tea Party's U.S. Senate candidate on the November ballot. Ashjian still must declare his candidacy.

Awesome.....this goes a long way towards ensuring Harry Reid stays the Senator of that State.

“The Tea Party movement would better serve us by putting conservatives on the GOP ticket rather than splitting the anti-Dem/Socialist vote.”

We, us, the people are the Tea Party. Its not like some faceless organization that we can’t contact. We need to get involved in our local. state and national candidate selecting process.

Reid Gets Potentially Big Break in Nevada

http://politifi.com/news/Reid-Gets-Potentially-Big-Break-in-Nevada-188946.html

Jon Ralston reports the Tea Party has qualified as a third Party in Nevada and will have a candidate in the U.S. Senate race. Assuming the Tea Party candidate would draw votes away from the Republican candidates, it may be just the thing Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) needs to win in a race where he’s run behind in polls for months.

In other words, we need to take the GOP back.

People don’t know who you are contrary to what you may think.

When they are reading you attacking the Republicans and trying to get them to vote third party, they don’t realize that you are a professional, that as party chairman of your own third party that you are working on them as part of a professional campaign.

None of those people has given so much as a dime to any candidate ever. Note that the board seems to have a husband/wife couple and one appears to be the wife of the Senate candidate.

Speaking of records, you don't have much room to talk about people stalking on threads.

You jump on any thread to denigrate the Tea Party Movement, Palin and Conservatives.

You showed your true colors the other day when you posted “Conservatism be damned.”

Odd. If this Nevada Tea "Party" is trying to be a legitimate political party, why is it a forgone conclusion this Jon Ashjian will be its candidate? Why doesn't this Tea "Party" hold a primary election, or some kind of nominating convention?

This definitely sounds like another Napoleonic ego-Party like Perot's Reform Party. A grass-roots movement is not ten people registering to be a party and putting up some hand-picked candidate.

Back to Nevada. Apparently the claim to fame for this Jon Ashjian, or Jon S. Ashjian, or Scott Ashjian, depending on the day of the week, is he had a contract with Iowa State University to provide an energy drink with an Iowa State logo. Iowa State recently signed an exclusive deal with Coca-Cola, so Ashjian is out. Ashjian is suing.

Asjian also apparently represents a construction company in Las Vegas. As near as I can figure, the construction company is actually a family business in Fresno California.

Show me one individual I’ve ever stalked thread to thread like this punk is doing to me. I stick to policy, principles and candidates for public office. I don’t ever target individual posters.

I’ve been suspecting this all along. The Dems are going to run 3rd party candidates as Tea Party candidates to divide the vote in their favor. Watch and see if this doesn’t happen in other districts as well.

You jump on any thread to denigrate the Tea Party Movement, Palin and Conservatives.

Also, you might want to point out a single example of me "denigrating" any of the above. Pointing out Republican astroturfing of the Tea Party Movement, showing examples where Palin's policies aren't exactly conservative, or being critical of "conservatives" who aren't acting like conservatives doesn't count.

If that’s really what they’re doing it sounds kind of crazy. But who knows. They are liberals after all.

You stalk conservativism

“Conservatism be damned.”

Context enough for you?

Or do I need to post my comment to you again that you blew off with your sharky remark?

Show me one individual I’ve ever stalked thread to thread like this punk is doing to me.

Skipping past you starting the personal attacks and name calling, I have never stalked you, so you are lying.

You are promoting your political party that you chair, and your enemies are Governor Palin and the GOP, you cannot constantly troll those threads and not expect to meet those of us that go to every Palin thread and also fight third parties and libertarians.

You need to man up and lay off the whining and name calling and personal attacks, no matter if it is part of your job to attack us like that.

I don’t mind a third party wrecking the GOP if the GOP is running a Rino. But otherwise, it really is a stupid and dishonorable move.
