Challenging someone's patriotism is a pretty hefty charge to level in the political arena, based on the response when Barack Obama's patriotism was challenged during the 2008 election cycle.
However, there seems to be a different set of rules when it comes to questioning the authenticity of the manmade global warming argument in the wake of record-setting snowfall in the Mid-Atlantic. And this different standard applied to Bill Nye "The Science Guy," who appeared on MSNBC's Feb. 10 "Rachel Maddow Show" and aired his disapproval of manmade climate change skeptics and labeled them "unpatriotic."
"[T]here's more energy in the atmosphere and this is stirring things up," Nye said. "If you want to get serious about it, these guys claiming that the snow in Washington disproves climate change are almost unpatriotic. It's really, they're denying science. So they're very happy to have the weather forecast be accurate within a few hours, but they're displeased or un-enchanted by predictions of the world getting warmer. It's really, it shakes me up."

"Bill Nye the Science Guy" was just the public sector's (PBS) poor imitation of "Beakman's World," a far superior show.
Maybe it’s because young people can’t see the difference between a steaming pile and a dirt clod after they are indoctrinated.
“In other words, he’s as qualified as Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore.”
LOL! But not as funny. ;)
Those kids are going to believe something... Do you want their god to be God, or do you want their god to be Che?
That is an excellent point. Generations of kids indoctrinated by public school teachers (union thugs) have no concept of analysis, creative problem solving or the ability to question dogma.
Who knew?
Exactly and a great point you and Dr. Meeker made.
If we build 100,000 wind turbines to extract a terawatt of energy from the very thin band of atmosphere where all water evaporation takes place, we'll see anthropogenic climate change, as well as anthropogenic geological change from the mining of copper, iron, aluminum, and cement limestone. The resources consumed and resulting environmental damage from building and maintaining 100,000 wind turbines would exceed the clean coal equivalent. Anyone can determine that by running the cost figures because cost is a function of total resource consumption.
Or detonate several nuclear bombs overhead. These are government functions that should be guarded against. They should leave me and my BBQ Grill alone in their lawmaking.
In 200 years...people will look back on this “debate” over “global warming” and understand that at this point in time...academic narcissistic illusion-which BTW originated with Darwinism-jumped the shark.
Reality-based, common-sense decision-making will come into vogue.....
Thank You
I just emailed Mr Nye and used some Marine Corp “French” on his junk science.
;-)
Bump youve got it sticker.
So his hypothesis is that the atmosphere is warmer, thus more moisture is sucked up from the sea?
Hmmm...
I’m no scientist, but common sense tells me that if the atmosphere is cooler and the sea is still a bit warmer, more moisture would evaporate into the atmosphere than if both were warm.
...isn’t that - global cooling?
The only part of Darwin's writings that modern academic narcissists accept is the natural selection part, which occurs much too slowly to explain how modern humans popped out of the background. They refuse to accept the notion that man's high speed evolution might have come from tribal warfare or that man is violent by nature. They only think homosexuality is by nature, everything else is by nurture. Future man will look at our time as a period of insanity.
“Climate Change” as a religion is simply earth worship.
But, if you’re expecting a court to rule that it can’t influence gov’t or shouldn’t be allowed in schools, you know you’re tilting at windmills.
The courts have ruled that while secular humanism is indeed to be treated as a religion when it comes to the “free exercise” portion of the first amendment, it is NOT to be treated as a religion when it comes to the “establishment” portion.
IE, a secular humanist can claim conscientious objector status, but they can still teach it in schools.
Who’s denying ‘climate change’?
Of course climate changes, but it’s God’s changes
so you idiots who think you’re smarter then God
better think again.
The bandwagon is getting awfully full
and it’s going to collapse under stupidity.
It certainly can’t hurt if people tried to be more earth friendly for sure, so
for starters, you do your part, i.e. you park your jets, and I’ll walk to the store
carrying my own bags.
I guarantee I’m the one most likely to do my part.
Bill Nye
The Science Guy
Slumped over his computer
He did die
Of global warming
He was sure
Until he assumed
Room temperature!
Remember Billy Boy, lie rhymes with die.
You asked, “Im not sure Nye is exactly qualified to make any assessments. What is his area of expertise?”
The first line from Wiki below says it all. He sounds like a highly competent scientist with no expertise in Meteorology and a very political background. I don’t trust him.

Nye started in Washington, D.C. as a fourth-generation Washingtonian on his father’s side. After attending Lafayette Elementary and Alice Deal Junior High in the city, he was accepted to the private Sidwell Friends School on a partial scholarship, graduating in 1973.[2][3] He studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University’s Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, where one of his professors was Carl Sagan,[4] and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1977.[5]
Nye began his career in Seattle at Boeing at which point, among other things, he starred in training films and developed a hydraulic pressure resonance suppressor still used in the 747. Later, he worked as a consultant and in the aeronautics industry. Nye told the St. Petersburg Times in 1999 that he applied to be a NASA astronaut every few years but was always rejected.[6]
No kidding!! They don't seem to understand that people develop an immunity to that kind of invective after a while. I don't like to say much about it though, because I kind of want them to think it's working.
He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.
But amazing how when someone wants to dredge up a “scientist” to give weight to their propaganda on whatever scientific topic, they almost invariably find an engineer as their “scientific expert”.
