I would rather him have been defeated this November and forced to live the rest of a long life in humiliation.
He was a Marine, and for that I thank him. I do not know what disease affected his mind in later years, but it was unfortunate.
Now the people of his district must elect a successor. Choose wisely.

Lt. Colonel Bill Russell. He sent a very nice email alert to his supporters expressing condolences to the Murtha family. He also said he will suspend all his campaign activities for a period of mourning, and will remove references to Murtha from his website immediately. He is a man of honor, and I pray that it is God’s will for Russell to serve the citizens of Murtha’s district.
