I didn’t like the guy, but I had a good friend (she has since died as well) who lost her mom from the same thing. She went in for her GB and ended up getting a fatal string of complications. You just never know. There is no such thing as “minor” surgery.

Yes, I agree. It is sad. Everyone has the chance. The sad part is that most are letting the world rule them. I see it every day. Our churches are getting old. There is a huge gap in the middle young people that is not in church. That hurts church for the future. So many kids now days want to be entertained. They have access too so much now, that they are bored if they are not snoring. Every sign is that we are in those days. How close we do not know, but I feel it is coming. Maybe not in my lifetime, but time is short for this world.
