Breitbart is correct; it is not a winning issue.

If the goal is to defeat Hussein’s agenda, prattling on and on about his birth certificate is not going to move the electorate in that direction.

Riiiight.

And Obama did not say this on Thursday....

"Surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith," he said, pausing before adding: "Or for that matter my citizenship."

Birthers need to keep pushing our agenda

It is a winning issue. They through everything at Bush, drove down his poll numbers and won big. The left did not win on the issues they won on hatred for Bush.

Exactly and very well said! It definitely is not a winning issue by the vast majority of Americans.

Breitbart is correct; it is not a winning issue.

We all lose if the Constitution is not upheld.

If the goal is to defeat Hussein’s agenda, prattling on and on about his birth certificate is not going to move the electorate in that direction.

The goal is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution against those who seek to destroy it or render it irrelevant.

I don't understand - if he's NOT a naturalized U.S. citizen, then, he's NOT eligible to be President. And, if he'd NOT eligible to be President, then what the hell is he doing in the White House???? Hmmmm? Or, is that NOT important to you?

The Constitution requires our presidents to be natural born. If Onada cannot prove he is, then he should not be sitting in the White House. Whether or not this is a winning issue is irrelevent.

I’m curious, what other Constitutional requirements do you deem to be irrelevent?

In the end it’s all about following the law. Demrats and alleged “recovering drmocrats” seem to have difficulty with that concept when it gets in the way of their Marxist agenda.

10-4 on that. I have to side with Rush on this, if there was any hay to be made from the birth certificate issue the Clintons would have let the rest of us know what it was.

Breitbart is correct; it is not a winning issue.

It is not a winning issue because we ALREADY lost!

I remember when this crap was all going on months before the 08 election and the supposed voices of reason were saying. No! Not now. Now is not the time to force the issue. Don't worry ... wait till after the election when we would have standing before the courts.

Bull $hit! I have around more than half a century ... long enough to know human nature pretty well. Enough to predict probable outcomes from what I see going on in the present.

I knew damn well that if Obamas natural born status was not hammered before the election the issue would be marginalized after the election and the Birthers would be criticized. It was easily predictable.

Instead of waiting for the right moment we should have taken to the streets if necessary to demand proof of his qualifications to serve as POTUS BEFORE the 08 election.

But the more rational among us told us to wait. And now the more rational among us tell is it is not a winning issue! Thanks for the advice.

So yes, you are right. It is not a wining issue because we already lost. The precedent has been set and the Constitution usurped. Expect more interlopers in the White House in the future as the Constitution means squat now.

Yep. It’s just not a long-term issue. Obama may be voted out of office by 2013 — and who knows, maybe better legislation requiring better birth documents for presidential candidates will be on the books by then.

Seems like your name Recovering Democrat is apt. Get back to us when you have “recovered.” The Democrats have been evil since Truman who was probably the last good Democrat. This was in the late 1940s.

I wish more people here got what you are saying.

If it were a winning issue, the election would have been a lot different.

There are tons of other things about Obama’s agenda that already resonate negatively with conservative and independent voters.

“Breitbart is correct; it is not a winning issue.”

Not as framed for us by the RATS...frame it as a Constitutional/vs. Anti-Constitutional Natural Born Citizen issue - drop the crap birther label. The RATS cannot successfully frame their side successfully as ‘anti-Constitutional.’

That *is* a winning issue. Bonus: some of our kids and grandkids might actually read parts of the Constitution.

"prattling on and on about his birth certificate is not going to move the electorate in that direction"

The electorate doesn't have to be 'moved' because they're already there. Polling indicates that about 58% feel that he needs to show his records. So there is no issue on 'winning,' its already won and waiting on Obama to come clean.

Ditto. Obama and the Dems would love for the birth certificate to be an issue, because it provides an opportunity for them to paint all conservatives and Republicans as out of the mainstream conspiracy theorists.

I understand that Obama has refused to provide it, along with his college transcripts, but if they haven’t come out now, they never will. It’s time to move on. The important thing right now is defeating Obama and Democrats at the ballot box to stop their agenda. That means moving on from the birth certificate issue.

" Breitbart is correct; it is not a winning issue "

Were is your proof that this is a losing issue and that this will hurt us in the elections and again support among the electorate ? ..... so far, we are doing fairly well in the elections so far this year, and the growing numbers who doubt Obama's eligibility is growing, so ? how can this be a losing issue ?
It's those who are saying this is a losing issue who are living in fantasyland.

If the goal is to defeat Hussein’s agenda,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I would bet my entire 401K that those who are passionate about the natural born clause of the Constitution are also the **hardest** and most effective workers when it comes to defeating Hussein's agenda.

Birthers are fully capable of multi-tasking.
