"Prove your case."
"I should prove, what, a birth certificate that may or may not exist?" Farah had gotten irritated. "Thats ridiculous. You dont even understand the fundamental tenets of what journalism is about, Andrew. Its not about proving things. Its about asking questions and seeking truth."
Breitbart tensed up after that insult. "Right."
"I know youre not a journalist, so thats fine. But dont diminish people whove been doing this for 35 years."
"So youre going to go on record saying that Im not a journalist?"
"Are you? Ive never heard you claim to be. Are you?"
"Ill let it be answered by you."
"Well, I knew [Matt]Drudge didnt consider himself a journalist, so I assumed that you were.
I dont know, Im not trying to insult you."
"You did."

I bet you think TWA 800 was an accident, that there’s nothing suspicious in four of Clinton’s former bodyguards being killed in Waco, that Kathleen Willey was not intimidated by a Clinton operative, and oh yeah, Monica-gate.
I bet you think that it’s just a coincidence that Betty Currie’s brother was beaten before she was scheduled to testify, and then run over by two trucks the next time she was scheduled to testify. [Monicagate was a loser for the GOP only because they chickened out.]
I bet you think people don’t care that Russel Welch [Clinton whistle blower] was exposed to military grade anthrax. People don’t care that Dr. Sam Houston said that Clinton’s nose was so deterioataed that he needed reconstructive surgery [indicating heavy cocain use]. People don’t care that Clinton sold a pardon to a crack dealer for cash, right?
WRONG. The RNC is too cowardly to expose the rats, probably due to their raw FBI files having been raided [Craig Livingstone]. Hillary probably has goods on Obama too. He’s probably her lap dog for all I know. In fact, is it possible she knows exactly why he won’t show his birth certificate?
And I bet you’re laughing at me writing all of this, aren’t you, Bruce?
“Agreed. This is a real battleground. I support private and home schooling and school vouchers that support those options. The public school monopoly, opressive taxation and power mongering must end.”
Right on. I’m glad to see you writing about more than one topic. I also think Kelo is a dangerous outrage.
But I do agree that the rats are incredibly vulnerable on the economy. That is their jugular. I heard Beck mention recently that we could build over four hundred top notch carriers with this current budget in a year. [Fuzzy listening alert though.]
He sure does have e foreign pedigree. We care about dogs pedigrees so we should care about our _Resident’s
“Yes, a presidential candidate should hound Zero on the economy. Im not a presidential candidate. Rush isnt. Hannity isnt. Boortz isnt. This forum is not run by one.”
And yet you say about this approach, “Boredom is our enemy, the siren song of two bit wonks.” I’m well aware that this forum isn’t confined to economics discussions. But when talking about what’s effective related the the BC issue, I think it’s OK to stack rank how we think Conservatives and Republicans should handle themselves...that’s allowed here, right? :)
“You can mock my perception if you like.”
I’m not mocking you. You’re the one calling ‘prattling on about economics’ the ‘siron song of two bit wonks...’ Hmmph! :)
“But your call for everyone to focus on the economy would destroy this forum and any new media that chose to march in lockstep with you.”
Say huh? I’ve not called for that...! I have discussed my opinions, and I do think we shouldn’t allow the libtards some cheap victory by having tunnel vision about one issue - especially if we’re approaching it from their silver platter service - defending being ‘birthers.’ I will defend the USC and screw the libtards. But even beyond that, true poetic justice is to simply and convincingly defeat them at the ballot box.
“This is not a rah-rah republican site.”
That’s not who I am FRiend...I don’t expect you to read all my posting history...but if you care to read some, you’ll see that.
“You are thinking myopically. You seem to think that its either all one way or all another way, and the only way to have unity is to wonk on the economy.”
I’ve stated what I think we should prioritize in our approach with the middle and if we engage the left directly. I and you, I’m sure, have done both.
“Do you want the new media to shrink or expand in influence?”
Expand of course. I also am very interested in seeing Conservatives have actual electoral power, not the least reason of which is to stop socialism in its tracks.
“Trying to boss us around, to tell us what we should do, is only going to cause the opposite.”
I wasn’t aware that discussing strategy and priorities was ‘boss (ing) us around’!
“And I bet youre laughing at me writing all of this, arent you, Bruce?”
No I’m not. Did you see my #254, just 7 posts before this?:
“As with Clintons indiscretions, and/or crimes, we may never get the satisfaction of justice in this life re: Obamas true birth story. But we *can* have the satisfaction of having defended this nation against these two egregious leaders.”
Don’t have to convince me that Clintong was scum...I fought that crap for 8 years...as I’m sure you did...
Even a funny guy like me misses the humor in a post once in a while
I thought you were seris!
We need to get together this summer and BBQ some hot links!
Hugh ones
LOL
Ah, no. I would say that some of those are suspicious.
And I’m not laughing.
Thanks for the ping!

“I wasnt aware that discussing strategy and priorities was boss (ing) us around!”
Fair statement. But how many ways can you ask us to give this issue up before you realize we won’t? In fact, pressure will make us feel contrary.
“Im well aware that this forum isnt confined to economics discussions. But when talking about whats effective related the the BC issue, I think its OK to stack rank how we think Conservatives and Republicans should handle themselves...thats allowed here, right? :)”
Sure. You’ve been offering us advice. Here’s my advice.
1. Try thinking of ways to make your important issue clear, enlightening, and entertaining.
2. Polish your idea and post it.
3. Save it on notepad. Control A will copy the entire page. On any thread you think we are fixated on, you can post, “I think this is more important.” Control A to copy/paste, and you have made the best point you know how.
Sure you can camp on that thread if you like, but at least you have SPAMed — Spreading Patriotism And Muckraking.
“Youre the one calling prattling on about economics the siron song of two bit wonks...”
I reached out a hand about economomics seeking common ground and you bit it. Serves me right.
“I have discussed my opinions, and I do think we shouldnt allow the libtards some cheap victory by having tunnel vision about one issue - especially if were approaching it from their silver platter service - defending being birthers.”
I’ve been stinking — why insult the mentally retarded by morphing them with liberals? But hey, I’m just kidding with you really.
Actually, there is an area where freepers rant about pot. I visit them on occassionally, but not very often. I’d resist them more except they bring a lot of energy even though I disagree with them. They want freedom; I want freedom. For the most part, I give them space. It’s the concept of coalition building.
Boortz was on the verge of criminally inspired over Kelo. That’s one of his motivators. Others are more fired up about life. Boortz doesn’t agree with them, but I think he’s beginning to realize we need a coalition [but it’s slow going with him].
“I will defend the USC and screw the libtards. But even beyond that, true poetic justice is to simply and convincingly defeat them at the ballot box.”
Right on. And the presidential candidates need to make their brief blurbs hit the bulls-eye — economy. That’s a separate issue to a 24 hour a day new media.
This is not a republican site.
“Ive stated what I think we should prioritize in our approach with the middle and if we engage the left directly. I and you, Im sure, have done both.”
The foundation of this thread is Breitbart ‘Busting’ Farah over Certifigate. I thought I made it clear that I was debating on behalf the “Show me” Crowd — show me the birth certificate. [Known as ‘birthers’ mostly by people who think giving birth is obscene and abortion is cool.]
Your posts led me to believe that you disagree with that.
Prioritizing is a much better word than ‘focusing’. Sometimes that telescopic site is lousy when you have a lot of moving targets.
I was there...the media was there for blood.
Andrew and Farah gave them some.
and they were grateful.
We are the Show me Crowd show me the birth certificate.
[To borrow the Show Me State’s motto.]
We are called birthers mostly by people who think giving birth is obscene and abortion is cool. We must honor the true ‘birthers’ who brought us into this world.
Like I posted earlier, some people tell us to focus on other issues. I would rather they said ‘prioritize’. Focus means ‘telescopic mount’, which is lousy when you have a lot of moving targets.

I was all for Barack Hussein Obama proving to the world exactly *where* he was born from about Summer ‘08 to Summer ‘09. The more I studied the issue, the more it became clear that even more important than whether Obama was born in HI or while his momma briefly visited Kenya, was who his father was and whether he had dual citizenship when he was born, and what SCOTUS law and precedent declared about that. That USC issue exists regardless of birth location.
At this point, given the complete obfuscation of this socialist regime, I am unconvinced that we’ll find resolution to either question ever.
As such, I think entertaining or not, we generally need to move on, while keeping up the good fight on principle that Obama (and all other comers to the POTUS ring) should provide a legitmate BC and also proof of their NBC relative to Article II, Section I of the USC.
Since the RAT press is wholly uninterested due to their biased personal agendas, we can skewer, and skewer and skewer them again and again, until someone perhaps finally answers this issue for the history books (that’s when I think we’ll have a chance at truth - but only maybe.)
I agree with an earlier post that suggested we fight to have at least one state require birth certificate/NBC proof for any POTUS candidate - right in their statutes. That is how we need to battle *this* issue.
But imho it should not be our priority currently.
Some can’t see you are correct. Quickest way to put “an end” to a grassroots movement is to paint it as a bunch of kooks.
They started right off the bat with Pelosi last summer, then “tea baggers”, and now they pull every Ron Paul type of person at the tea parties or “birthers” and they, on cue, go off for the camera like a fool.
Phil Valentine, a local talk show host in Nashville, was the MC of the Saturday Tea Party at Opryland and introduced Brietbart who introduced Palin.
He said he saw Anderson Cooper and the other MSM’s “purposely trying to find the biggest nutters in the crowd they could” and portray the entire event as nothing but extreme nuts.
Birthers don’t help.
LOL, the media find blood everywhere.
and they play up the “conflict” angle best they can....Andrew and Farah gave them plenty of that
I noticed all these greasy pasty looking folks with jet black hair and too much arm hair dressed in black T-shirts and jeans....
that Manhattan look I remembered from my time there...all the big city backup for blonde talking heads from the media
and all unfavorable except FOX
ROTFL Save that poster. If things boil over with Iran it may come in handy again.
Impy — you have a lot more knowledge about political science and history than I do. And you have knowledgeable FRiends. Please let me know if I’m off-base here.
Bruce: “But imho it should not be our priority currently.”
I agree. But I don’t think you fully understand the concept of the Anti-establishment voter. I’m no scholar on Reagan, but as I understand it, thaat’s what the Reagan campaign embraced.
President Reagan’s campaigner was Paul Weyrich. I heard Weyrich talk about the importance of the anti-establishment voter all the time. Weyrich embraced us.
Looking at the here-and-now, I think the voters are turning more anti-establishment than ever.
We don’t need crack-pot theories to bust the rats wide open. Truth is much better. I would prefer a debate on what is true and what is not true.
