I watched the videos of the speech and have come to a conclusion:

There isn't one Republican on the national stage today that could have delivered that speech with as much fire and conviction as Sarah Palin did. Not a single one.

No wonder Huckabee was slamming her. As if he ever really had a chance at anything anyway.

Because the only people who will be deported are those "not following the rules," i.e., illegal aliens with criminal records. That was the McCain/Palin position during the campaign. McCain said he would deport the estimated 2 million criminal aliens "immediately."

Anyone who really understands the immigration issue and the obfuscation by politicians with the Orwellian use of language can see right thru it. The Univision interviewer knew the issue, which is why he pinned Palin down on what exactly she would do vis-a-vis the 12 to 20 million illegals already here.

I can assure you that Palin will have to take a real stance on the issue and not dance around it using ambiguous language.

You may be in for a surprise once she is pinned down on her real position on the issue. Obama and McCain are against amnesty. Both voted for the 2006 Secure Fence Act, which passed 89-11 in the Senate.

You are correct, sir. When Palin comes to AZ to campaign for McCain, she will be pressed to answer this question. It is the biggest issue between the "Amnesty King" and JD Hayworth. Ron Simcox of the Minutemen is also running in the primary against McCain. Amnesty will be the number 1 issue and Palin will be caught right in the middle of it.

I tried to explain that to her advisors last year at CPAC. She must distance herself from McCain, especially on the issue of amnesty.

Go to the GOP website and look up their “What We Believe” section and check out the Issues section as well—IT IS ALL TEA PARTY PHILOSOPHY.

The problem is the GOP became the DNC Lite, talking the talk for Republican constituents, but NOT walking the walk with the issues!!

IF the GOP straightens up their act (and we’re already seeing a lot of GOP pols running scared because of the TP influence in NY and MA) then there won’t be a need for a ‘merge’—the two will already be ONE.
