Amy Kremer of the Tea Party Express on now.
She is saying the bickering is unnecessary, and we need to support each other.
Don't back down because of negativity of some.
If you don't like what another group is doing, ignore them
We have one chance, and the time is now
We need to stick together.
Today is Ronald Reagan's 99th birthday!
If I can find it again will send to you
She simply said that McCain gave her an opportunity of a lifetime and she was grateful to him. She considers him an American Hero. Later she said she strongly supports contested primaries which JD/McCain race is. I think she straddled the issue brilliantly. All honey, no vinegar, no enemies.
Obama, Pelosi and Reid: Remember you are surrounded by millions of us We, the People.
Courage is indeed the right word to describe Sarah, when these professional campaign managers and staff micromanage what these candidate can or can’t say and tell them to be cautious until the wind is just right, it leaves most people distrustful of what a candidate truly believes in and is....Sarah is a breath of fresh air and tells it like it is, she is not perfect but maybe that’s the point, we look for perfect people when there is none, but we do look for perfection because the campaigns and parties make these politicians look almost perfect, sound perfect, and act perfect............It’s time that people get real about real people like Sarah.
(((( Freedom'sWorthIt ))))
I am teary-eyed reading your reply. I am so thrilled for you and my heart sings. Thank you for telling all of us about your most memeorable experience. You were present while history was being made. She is one in a lifetime. The special person, who is genuine and so very dear. To have you tell us that her beautiful spirit shines through her clear eyes and fills the room and the hearts of everyone touches both my heart and my very soul.
I watched at home and even from here, I could "feel" her radiance and her love for our country and for all of you there with her. We could see the audience at times during her speech, and you all looked amazing and beautiful, and so very attentive. Just imagine, you were the same room with Sarah and heard her speak from her heart!!!!!
I pray nightly, that all good things will be hers and that He will lead her to her decisions that we await.
May God always Bless Sarah Palin.
God Bless you, too, my dear and sweet friend and May God Bless everyone here also and all pro-life people everywhere. We pray for those who aren't pro-life that their minds will be changed to follow what is surely in their hearts.
What a night, what a memorable night! Perfect that it's the 99th anniversary of President Reagan's birth.
Blessings!!!!!
Speaking of weight - have you seen Dick Morris?? Holy cow!
Someone needs to enlighten the folks on that site. Sarah gave the money back to the cause.
You're posting an interview she had as the vice presidential candidate.
One where she says she doesn't believe in amnesty. What she said on Rush clarifies her own view on that.
Now get it through your skull: She doesn't support McCain's views on illegal immigration!
WOW! I might have to read his column again to make certain I read correctly. Ya think?
That was, for me, the most important part of the speech. If there is no leader than the MSM, DNC and RNC cannot tear the TEA Party down. There are too many of us.
Obama, Pelosi and Reid: Remember you are surrounded by millions of us We, the People.
Thanks! And ck this:

Sarah Palin Gave A Campaign Speech
by Marc Ambinder
And that’s pretty much all you need to know. So much of a campaign speech was it that I am revising upward my estimate of the chances she runs for president in 2012. So much so that I am evaluating my basic Palin assumption, which is that she has decided not to run for office. Nominally the speech was a rallying cry for the Tea Party movement, but it was really an “I Told You So” series of verbal slings at President Obama, his budget, his national security policies and his liberalism. Some memorable lines:
“How’s that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for ya.” (in re: Obama.)
“We win, you lose.” (Her description of her national security philosophy.
“It’s no wonder that our president only spent about 9 percent of his State of the Union address discussing national security, foreign policy, because there aren’t a whole lot of victories he can talk about.”
I don't GET that photoshop - please explain. To me, it looked like it was being made fun of.
Joe Arpaio also endorsed Mitt in 08 who is weak on the border
She’s the best. Nobody else comes close.
You’re not all that bad either, but you’re not in politics...lol.
You can read into it anything you want re the contested primaries. She also said that some of her endorsements would tick some people off. Let’s see how active she is in the McCain campaign.
Um, yes. Dick Morris has gained a lot of weight!!!
See some posts I’ve made to the thread re: reaction to the speech/event and will try to add more tomorrow after I get home.
I was in the back of the banquet hall right next to the press pool location so I enjoyed glancing over at their stone cold faces while the greatest leader of our day was speaking.....
The video screens were very large and we had very good views of Sarah’s face and very good audio to hear the speech so being in the back of the room was no disadvantage at all.
By the way - the meal was also wonderful - filet mignon, mashed potatoes, asparagus, salad, delicious bread, and fabulous chocolate dessert with good iced tea and coffee. The servers did an excellent job of taking care of our table.
I knew only seekthetruth at our table and her hubby - whom I had just met in person when they found the table where I had saved them 2 seats.
Met a Marine from WV who does not do the internet and has no TV but who stood every time I did to applaud and cheer. He was concerned also that when he gets home he may have lost heat and if so I think he said he would lose water pressure??? He was a very nice gentleman and it was an honor to sit next to a Viet Nam vet who was wounded and therefore was forced to watch and listen Dan Rather trash him and our troops/cause back then. Seekthetruth came ready with Free Republic business cards which the marine gave to the young lady with him - not sure if it was his daughter or his wife,,,,. since he “does not do internet”.
The others at our table included a very nice couple from the local area who also stood up when I did - every time.
This couple also was given a FR business card - so I hope they all find FR and start learning and contributing here.
Some more notes:
I believe all at our table are Christians! The prayer at the start of the meal was led by a lady that I don’t even know her name but she spoke a lot about the need for the US to stand beside Israel - which drew many loud amens and applause - from our table too!
I was delighted that such a prayer and talk was given at this banquet. I know many Christians are active in the Tea Party movement and in the conservative political world...but these parts of the issues (from the christian point of view) have not really been stressed by the TP movement - so it did my heart good and was a confirmation to my heart and mind that what is taking place is indeed endorsed if not led by the Holy Spirit Himself!
(God takes no pleasure in judgement...)
Sarah Palin during her speech and/or her QA time referenced this need to return to the God our Creator who brought this country into being - and for candidates to not be intimidated into PC silence about their faith in Him!
That was good to hear also!
Interesting for a liberal source.
Thanks for the info.
Getting to see Sarah and enjoy a wonderful meal with the greatest of patriots made this a very special evening!
Sarah started off great with her comment about how the media wasn't invited to attend meetings behind the closed doors of Congress during health care discussions, but were invited to attend a Tea Party convention.:) Have to get her exact words because it was just too good to miss quote as in my summary above. Needless to say, Sarah was awesome!
