Because it is part of the Dem's political strategy of distract, divide, and attack. They will try to make the opposition appear to be the lunatic fringe, i.e., birthers and deniers. It has nothing to do with Obama's policies. Rather it has to do with his citizenship and his race. The MSM will be his lap dogs in framing the issue that way in much the same way they have perpetuated the myth of manmade global warming. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe that Obama was born in Hawaii. And they are not aware of such distinctions as natural born when it comes to being born of a parent who is a citizen of another country.

He wants to bring it up before it’s forcibly brought up. A simple defensive tactic.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. And they’ve got the communications czar doing whatever he wants with our communications, Obama’s lawyer threatening the major media heads, a judicial system which says none of us has standing as we watch our country go to pot, ACORN registering dead voters, all the productive money going to the unions so they can keep their masses ignorant...
You better believe it’s going to be the propaganda battle of our lives. Obama made a swipe at bloggers - telling fellow dems to stop listening to cable news and the blogs - because he knows that this is where he is losing.
We’re all sort of like the “Who’s” in “Horton Hears a Who”. We’re all saying “Yop” and it never is loud enough to make an impact. But who knows which of us will be the “Yop” that blows the whole thing open? That’s why we have to keep informing each other. Eventually everybody will know the Emperor is naked but he won’t know we know. And that’s when the fun begins.
We need to keep making the facts known and eventually there will be no place left for them to hide. It’s tiring but I’ll keep plugging away...

He’s really stupid then because even people who embrace socialism and that garbage don’t exactly appreciate being lied to and screwed. Government corruption is despicable to everyone except the ones doing it. I think Scott Brown got elected in large part because the dems have been screwing the whole process and people don’t like that. Play hard but play by the rules or get out.

For a while the American people may be cynical, but eventually when they realize that their kids’ futures are toast all the mama and papa bears will give up their cynicism and come out with claws swinging.
I think Obama is midjudging the American people. Either that, or the American spirit is already dead.

Also, a few days ago there was the Democratic Party memo encouraging Dems candidates to pin down their Republican opponents on their stand on Obama’s eligibility.
There was a recent Mother Jones article.
Today, Obama himself brings the subject up.
