We need to be united with one conservative candidate.

I voted for Brady after much back and forth between him and Andy. In the end, I thought Brady had a better chance. Also, he wasn’t from the Chicago area. I know Brady personally and he’s a decent guy. Also favors CCW.

Look at the vote totals
it is about 50/50 D/R In Illinois this is about as earth shaking as the Peoples Republic of Tax a two S****.

Also the conservative candidates ( Adam/Brady/Profft) out polled the RINOS

Only issue is whether or not to teach Mark Kirk and the rinos a lesson in November

Yes, but some of those individuals have killed off several state parties to the point of non-competitiveness. The election of Brown in MA, for example, wasn’t a victory for the MA GOP, it was a fusion win of anti-Coakley Democrats, Independents, and a moribund GOP in the state. Some states are in better shape, of course, but many are in far worse shape partly because of these liberal elites.

Yup. Unfortunately, as you can see, we had a very un-united field.

Brady pulled ahead so suddenly because the last 22 precincts from his home county reported (he’s getting 62% there).

That being said, over half of the precincts left in Cook County are black precincts, meaning almost no GOP votes.

Probably means Brady will win it IMHO

Holy s**t this is close! My mom was planning to vote for Brady but voted for Proft at the last minute thinking the three RINOs were ahead so no conservative had a chance. She says in hindsight she wishes she had voted Brady!!! We better combiner Dillard who endorsed Obama and Lisa Madigan doesn't win this one... he and Mark Kirk at the top of the ticket will kill GOP turnout in November.

All the freepers who demanded we “get behind Oberweis” because he was the “highest polling conservative and we must stop a RINO”, then flip-flopped four years later and kept pushing for Adam Andrejewski when Brady was the only conservative in double digits should be eating crow now. Not that I haven't had my own share of backing the wrong horse in a primary that I later regret, but it would be just desserts if Adam gets called a “Dillard plant who split the conservative vote” for the next four years.

Perhaps if Brady pulls off a victory on the Gubernatorial side, it won’t be a complete loss.

Aw, there are plenty of good signs from this primary - we could see Brady, Plummer, Dold, Kinzinger, Hultgren, races that could all have been bad or horrible.

Kirk and Topinko were foregone conclusions.

Any reaction to the Walsh win in CD 8?
