WASHINGTON – Rep. John Murtha has been hospitalized in intensive care stemming from complications related to gallbladder surgery.
Spokesman Matt Mazonkey says the 77-year-old Pennsylvania congressman underwent scheduled surgery last week and is currently at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.
Murtha was also hospitalized in December with gallbladder problems.
The 19-term Democrat was the first Vietnam veteran to serve in Congress. He leads the powerful House Appropriations subcommittee on defense spending.

dont worry about Murtha. He receive the absolute best care, provided by a government program.
Of course, that government health care program awarded to Congress by the Congress is better by several degrees of magnitude than the healthcare program he wants to foist on us plebes.
He’s old and useless. Give him a pill and send him on his way.

I pray for his redemption. I pray for my enemies, so that they may find peace with God. If they find this peace, they will see that their path is wrong and they will make changes to the way they behave, and the way they understand how remarkably small they are in the grand scheme of things.
Get well soon, Congressman. And go home.
It is hard to pray for him considering what he said about our brave soldiers but I will. Although we all dislike him intensly, lets not join the left in the hate gutter.
