The more important question for the populist movement may be whether this loosely organized political phenomenon can remain intact long enough to challenge a two-party system that has dominated American politics since George Washington rode off to Mount Vernon to live out his final years. If history is any guide, the prospects of long-term success are as unlikely as a Republican winning a Senate seat in Massachusetts.

If Joe really wanted an answer to that question, he should have asked it in an outlet somebody actually noticed. He might as well have written for Air America.

As I said in another thread yesterday, there is no Tea Party. There are Tea Parties, and they will continue to thrive.

Either the Elitist Republicans get on board, or the train will leave without them.
The Elitist in Both parties are not acceptable.
If the Elitist Republicans do not get on the train caused by the Tea Parties, they will sink into oblivion.
Either they join US and help, or get out of the way and let US get this done.

I hope that it will do more than just survive, but also THRIVE. But it also needs to remain true to its principles. Don’t let it get hijacked by NeoCons like the GOP has been. Don’t allow those who intend to increase the size of government into its ranks.
We will find out this November whether the Tea Party movement is doing well or not.

It’s winter time.....things always slow down. Wait for better weather and things will get going again. Pro-longed rain, snow, freezing weather always get people down. Just hang in there and keep watching the politicians and keep records as to what they are doing........or not doing.

1. There is no tea party.2. The tea patiers are just a insignificant number of hot heads and don't matter.3. The tea parties are corporate astroturf and not real grass roots. 4. The tea parties are just about finished. They may have helped win one Senate seat and that is it.
So, what will lie numbers 5, 6 and 7 be about the tea parties?

YES...and Joe Scarborough is an idiot if he thinks the T.E.A Party Movement is now going to 'fold up the pup tent' in the aftermath of Tuesday's victory.
Last November was only the beginning, with two governorships flipping over to Red, one of which went to a heavily Blue state.
Nope Joe, this Party's just getting started.

The only way any Tea Party person would even be aware that Scarborough wrote an article in Newsweek would be to see it on Free Republic. Who is his audience for this article, certainly not us.
