Obama's wakeup call, but will he answer?
The GOPNation ^ | January 20, 2010 | Bryan Wolfe

What happened in the Bay State had less to do with ideology and more to do with a realization that our nation’s leaders have become tone-deaf at best, and downright enemies of this country that they’ve been given a chance to govern, at worst.

What made President Obama a successful presidential candidate in 2008 was his message of hope, change and an understanding that in America, playing just around the political center was the best place to govern. After all, Candidate Obama promised that in his Washington, both sides would get a seat at the table and compromise would be the order of the day. And, after all of the back-and-forth between Democrats and Republicans going back to the 1990’s, this message certainly was appealing to many Americans.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, and for the nation in general, is a real fact that Obama was not the candidate that he showed himself to be. Instead, what America got was a left-wing nut job that never ran anything whose sole purpose seems to be to recreate this country into a failed socialist state in the mold of Cuba, Venezuela and other leftist embarrassments. In doing so, this president in 365 days has proposed unworkable solutions that do nothing to make us a better country, but rather whose goal is to set us back and cause Americans to fight other Americans.

Massachusetts is still a Democratic-state, but its people seem to have woken up knowing what works and what doesn’t. While average Democrats understand that our nation’s healthcare system needs revised and its uninsured need a lifeline, they also know that bankrupting the nation to do so isn’t right. They also know that laws should be created under the careful eye of the public, and not behind closed doors on Christmas Eve. Finally, they understand that there are enemies of America that want to kill us and as such, those people shouldn’t be given the same rights as American citizens.

And, yes, even in Massachusetts, they understand that the Union worker down the street (or in the same household) shouldn’t be given a sweetheart deal when other Americans are asked to pay forty-percent more in taxes for the same “rights”, just because they work in the private sector.

Perhaps what happened last night was the return of common sense voting by the masses. Of course, whether Washington is listening is another story. And if they are not, November’s mid-terms will make last night look like an appetizer easily forgotten after the meal arrives.

I would hope they would “moderate” the “throttle” a bit. However, my gut tells me that commies don’t like to lose, they hate this country and the people... there for will put the “pedal to the metal” just to tick us off! This ain’t over folks... However, I think they will start attacking each other like frenzied sharks!

Another question that comes to mind; “Will the Democrats engage in shenanigans and delay Mr. Brown’s appointment to the United States SEnate?”
(Waiting for the other shoe to drop.)

IMHO

There are reports of quake-like ground disturbances centered around the Ted Kennedy grave site with the appearance of a large sized object rolling under the earth!

Bill Clinton for all of his severe faults, was a politician first and would be going with the flow.

If politics was a basketball game and the (GOP)defense suddenly went man to man, Clinton would start setting screens.

Obama is first and foremost a left wing ‘progressive’ community organizer hell bent on fundamentally changing this nation.

My prediction:
The GOP just went 2-3 Jim Boeheim style zone and Obama will start chucking up wild three pointers rather than looking for the open man.

I listened to MSNBC and CNN last night to see how they were spinning the loss.

Coakley was generally the fall guy for the loss. Almost never was Obama the cause for the loss.

Many of the MSNBC and CNN commentators were saying the Democrats needed to really push HealthCare now. Because once the American Public experienced the joys of socialized medicine, the Democrats would be loved again.

What made President Obama a successful presidential candidate in 2008 was his message of hope, change and an understanding that in America, playing just around the political center was the best place to govern.

WRONG!

What obama's victory in November told us was that he was in this to win. He lied, cheated and stole an election he had no business even being in. He's not even an American. (If you have proof to the contrary please feel free to present it.)
Next. Playing around the "political center" is what is destroying our nation and the world. NO ONE seems to have any values or morals any longer. Courtesy for example has all but vanished as each person seems to think they deserve "respect."

We need a return to absolutes. Right is right and wrong is wrong: PERIOD!

I am just as disappointed in Brown after listening to his acceptance speech last night as I was when Obama won. The minute any politician concedes that we need to do something about "healthcare" in this country he/she becomes no better than the worst dictator/communist on the planet. Healthcare is an individual responsibility. It is NOT a right. You wish to worship at the alter of Asclepius knock yourself out but don't force me to and certainly don't expect me to pay for it. Brown, like Coakley, Obama, Bush, Clinton,..... and every other "moderate" wants government involved in healthcare. They all want government involved in education. They all want government involved in every aspect of your personal lives.

Wake up people! Big brother is here. Don't believe me? Look for a street corner or a light post that does not have a camera on it. All a moderate politician is is the silk glove on the iron fist of totalitarianism and total bondage.

Bottom line... All Brown is is another "lesser of two evils" we've been forced to elect.

JMHO!

ozero is too ignorant and arrogant to slow down. Any person claiming to be the president that allows the buzzing of NYC with AF1 has no connection with the people of this country. He believes the crap that he is the chosen one and the taxpayers are just a bunch of mindless sheeple. The silver lining here is that if he accelerates his “transformation”, his party will suffer horrible losses in November.

President Obama is a narcissist. Joanna Ashmun posted a great piece on Narcissism. I made quick links to her (very long) article HERE at the Patriot's Flag. Look particularly at #15 ... if she is right, this is how he will react. It will be interesting to watch. While you are there, look at the other "traits" ... some are fascinating.

Agreed. Obama, Reid and Pelosi will try briefly to double down, but a portion of democrats that are still reasonably sane and vaguely aware of reality, will lead a very public rebellion. Obama's messiah complex will be in tatters.

Thanks for posting. Charles Krauthammer has said Obama is a narcissist for a long time.

I tend to believe Obama is so locked into his behaviour pattern that he is incapable of changing his stripes.

So if Krauthammer is correct, then we should expect to see this reaction from Obama-—

“cissists are (a) extremely sensitive to personal criticism and (b) extremely critical of other people. They think that they must be seen as perfect or superior or infallible, next to god-like (if not actually divine, then sitting on the right hand of God) — or else they are worthless.

There’s no middle ground of ordinary normal humanity for narcissists. They can’t tolerate the least disagreement. In fact, if you say, “Please don’t do that again — it hurts,” narcissists will turn around and do it again harder to prove that they were right the first time; their reasoning seems to be something like “I am a good person and can do no wrong; therefore, I didn’t hurt you and you are lying about it now...” — sorry, folks, I get lost after that.

Anyhow, narcissists are habitually cruel in little ways, as well as big ones, because they’re paying attention to their fantasy and not to you, but the bruises on you are REAL, not in your imagination. Thus, no matter how gently you suggest that they might do better to change their ways or get some help, they will react in one of two equally horrible ways: they will attack or they will withdraw.

Be wary of wandering into this dragon’s cave — narcissists will say ANYTHING, they will trash anyone in their own self-justification, and then they will expect the immediate restoration of the status quo. They will attack you (sometimes physically) and spew a load of bile, insult, abuse, contempt, threats, etc., and then — well, it’s kind of like they had indigestion and the vicious tirade worked like a burp: “There. Now I feel better. Where were we?”

They feel better, so they expect you to feel better, too. They will say you are nothing, worthless, and turn around immediately and say that they love you.

When you object to this kind of treatment, they will say, “You just have to accept me the way I am. (God made me this way, so God loves me even if you are too stupid to understand how special I am.)”

I was amazed when I found that posting Joanne had up there. When you look through those “aspects” ... this guy fits most of them.

Obambi will answer but I don’t think we’re going to like his response.

All that was changed with Scott Brown’s election was to restore the filibuster as a means to halt the Senate. Nothing more.

The Senate and the House are still dominated by the Dems. They can still pull off a lot of crap before can stop them in November and I mean a LOT! Just because the storm clouds are gathering won’t stop their campaign to reduce us under absolute tyranny.

We should know in the next two weeks just how deep this crap is going to get.

Right, I think his mental & emotional make up wouldn’t allow for it plus all the ‘victim’ BS he’s been feed. That said if he refuses to change course then his future is one of increasing isolation. That’s a very scary prospect!!! Frankly, a man of his character has no business in the WH. We can thank the MSM for doing little (really nothing) to reveal the man.

You don’t remember Slick Willie the same as I do.

He was forced by a Republican Congress to modify his Leftist zeal. Even at that he still managed to give most of our nuclear and missile technology to the Chinese. He and Hillary also tried to pass a national single-payer health care system but was stymied by the Republicans. That failure sidetracked many of their other leftist ambitions.

Given today’s Congress Slick would have been just as radical as Obama.

The corollary is, given the Congress opposing Slick, Obama would not be able to do what he is doing either.

On July 14,1789, the day the Bastille was stormed, Louis XVI wrote in his diary “Rien”...nothing. Obama is equally as oblivious of what is happening.
