BOSTON In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in a U.S. Senate election Tuesday that left President Barack Obama's health care overhaul in doubt and marred the end of his first year in office.
The loss by the once-favored Coakley for the seat that the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy held for nearly half a century signaled big political problems for the president's party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide.

Ted's legacy is already writ large.
It is a bridge on Chappaquidick and a girl named Mary Jo.
And an Oldsmobile in Poucha Pond.
Above quote from DU. (In the thread you linked to)
This brings two thoughts to my mind. The first is, visiting there is like swimming in a cesspool. Most posters there apparently can't make a sentence without using profanity.
The second thought is if they think that the rats are right of center then they have a really really twisted idea of what "center" means.
The problem with that is while MJ and Jesus have forgiven Ted, they are in heaven and he's roasting somewhere quite a bit warmer than that. (Forgiveness without repentence doesn't do the offender any good whatsoever. We forgive because it's best for us to forgive)
One thing that Senator Brown (or someone who can get the airtime) has got to do, right up front and right out loud is announce that if any republican senator dies under ‘mysterious’ circumstances the democrat party has got to be investigated for the act.
We’ve got to premptively protect our people. Although the rat politicians may not personally pull the trigger I have no doubt that they would approve of the action.
Another thing we have to do is protect against Jumping Jim Jeffords part II.
I felt the same way.....Kennedy wasn’t a patriot....Enough with the Kennedy praise.....It was a good thing to pay respects, but that would have been sufficient.....Seems like a tight family, and I pray they stay that way.....NO SCANDALS!!!!!......
Don't get me wrong. I'll say it again slowly so you can understand: I'm VERRRRRRY HAAAAAPPY SCOTT BROWN WON. But HE didn't "save" me from anything. He's NOT a "SAVIOR." I already have a SAVIOR. As far as Democrats being "evil," my late MOM was a Democrat. She was a "Dixie-crat" who voted for Reagan twice, Bush once and Clinton twice before she passed. So what? Not ALL Democrats are evil. They're just folks like us. They may have a "too heavy" reliance on big government and other minor failings, but they're not a lost cause as last night aptly demonstrates!
I teach American Government and have done so for 20+ years. I have been a loyal Republican since 1975 when I turned 18. I have volunteered on countless Republican campaigns since I was old enough to drive. But I watched my beloved GOP become corrupted and bloated with RINOs and liberals. I have seen them walk ever closer to becoming a party of Democrat LITE and it has disgusted me. If this 2010 election cycle doesn't return REAL conservatives to power, I may well walk away from the GOP and become an independent. When conservatives RUN as conservatives, they win. But when RINOS act like conservatives and then vote and politic like liberals they PI$$ away the heritage that brought them into existence in the first place and I won't be a party to that. If you focus on just democrats you're being naive and foolish.
I tried to read your "about" page but gave up on the huge mishmash of that one paragraph. Ever heard of formatting? Sheeesh, I'd like to read that stuff, it's interesting but it's got to be in manageable chunks. Just my .02.
If you see a Red/Blue map of MA by precinct/county in the future, will you ping me to it, please?
That line cemented this race. It caused Martha/Marcia mental damage, as witnessed by the river of gaffes she committed afterwards. Don't forget, Rats in MA usually run unopposed or against, no offense meant here, sacrificial tomato cans. Not this time though. Thank You, God!!!!!!
I love how Scott took on Barry 0 in his victory speech! Classic! I call it here and now: Scott Brown will be running for higher office in the not so immediate future! He cannot do that by be being a RINO, remember he still has the MA taint right off the bat. Despite the win last night, Clell in Alabama will still be suspicious of a MA Yankee.
Oh, Delahunt has been brought up before, here you go:

I would add Tsongas as well. That two seats minimum that should go GOP.
With last night’s good news, there are reports of Mike Pence giving serious thought to take out the Son of Birch Bayh.
I really hope Pence or Daniels try to take out Son of Bayh. IN has no business electing a faux conservative Dem to anything.
Thanks! ‘Tis a map of sheer beauty!
10-4! :)
I might add Slick Willard was probably thinking, Scott Brown achieved what he wanted to do in 1994, claim the Kennedy seat.
Agreed...That will never be forgotten nor should it be.
The most striking stat I saw in the last polls leading up to election day was the 18-29 group. Brown was ahead something like 61%-30%. So much for the Obama Youth!
Whats up with western MA?
