Polls are open.
Senate race in Massachusetts comes down to wire Read the article here: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-mass-senate19-2010jan19,0,6084655.story?track=rss
But there are oh so many ways to use those ballots for fraud ... are they given to people still in line as "oh, you don't have to wait to vote for Scott; here, fill one of these out" and their vote is nullified.
No, if those are legit ballots meaning by the right printer, on the right paper, etc. they can be little fraud bombs just waiting to go off. Like maybe exchange it for the content of a military absentee ballot?
Rasmussen did only two polls in MA, and that is all that he was intending to do. He made it very clear when he announced the results of his 11Jan poll that it was the final poll he would be doing for this race.
He did not do any “unannounced poll”.
“The Senate subcommittee and committee concluded, based on its hearing and review, that the term of service of a Senator appointed to fill a vacancy in an unexpired term ends on the day when his successor is elected by the people. 1939 Congressional Record, p. 998. There was evidently no controversy among either the subcommittee or full committee regarding this legal conclusion, and the committee then presented a resolution to the Senate for adoption, expressing the view that Berrys term of service expired on November 8, 1938, the date of the special election. As Senator Connally, a member of the subcommittee, explained to the Senate, the fact that the Tennessee statute purported to extend Berrys term until the qualification of his successor was of no force because the statute was plainly in conflict with the provisions of the seventeenth amendment. Accordingly, the Senate adopted the proposed resolution without dissent. 1939 Congressional Record, p. 1058.
Based on this authority, it would appear that a valid point of order could be raised as to Senator Kirks participation in Senate proceedings after January 19, 2010.

This is going to be a GREAT day!
What to Do if a Problem Arises on Election Day
If a person encounters a problem at a polling location on Election Day, the person should approach the warden or the presiding officer with the issue. As the warden or presiding officer is in charge of the polling location, they should be able to resolve any issues. However, if the problem persists, a person should contact the city or town clerk who is the chief election officer of the municipality. If the problem is still not resolved, a person may contact the Secretary of the Commonwealths Elections Division at 617-727-2828 or 1-800-462-8683.
Stuned!

Dem GOTV picking up Brown supporters
A Democratic operative familiar with Martha Coakley and the DSCC’s massive get-out-the-vote operation says that outreach workers in and around Boston have been stunned by the number of Democrats and Obama supporters who are waving them off, saying they’ll vote for Scott Brown.

CITY/TOWN: Andover
NEIGHBORHOOD:
NAME: GW
VOTED AT: HS
VOTED FOR: Martha Coakley (Dem)
HOW CROWDED: Mildly
OTHER COMMENTS: Would NEVER even THINK of giving Republicans Teddy Kennedy's seat. That's like peeing on his grave.
I think I found something I can agree with the left on.
The noon broadcast of WBZ TV had a reporter in Waltham at a precinct with around 1,000 registered voters. He reported nearly half have already turned out to vote. He also noted that things are not looking good for Marcia there, and that many Democrats have voted Brown due to the Obammunist's policies.
This is encouraging as Waltham is inside Rt.128 and leans left.
I have it on the highest authority that created everything....Scott Brown will WIN...and it will be double digits ;o)
I just got an email from my buddy in Mass. He’s voting for Brown. He cited the budget deficit as his chief reason.

Yay!!!! Thank you, you may well be
part of history that will be in the
books and studied for generations.
God bless America!
That’s what I said here on FR days ago. I hope I am wrong. I will gladly eat my words.
I saw a thread there entitled 'What was achieved with 60 votes?" where the original poster wrote:
'Didn't we have 60 votes during most of 2009? Why is it now we feel as if the world would come to an end if we lose Mass?'
Someone else replied:
'We gave a LOT of money to a LOT of rich bankers'.
Yup. That's pretty much all they ever did with the 60-vote super majority. All by themselves and without one Republican vote.
DU liberals have very good reason to be pissed about that, as I am.
Yay ... #81!!
Just voted.(Lynn) In and out in 5 minutes. Election worker said steady all day.He said the elderly are coming out despite the weather.
Took a quick ride around some of the other polling places nearby to make sure signs for Coakley weren’t where they shoudn’t be. All was well.
It felt good for once where my vote actually meant something for a change.......
Tell them to take off their shoes they can count higher.
