Are you approx between Sudbury and Acton? Nice area!

I'm approximately 30 miles south of the MA/CT line in Connecticut.

Everyone, when you report location and turnout, let us know if this is a GOP area, a Dem area, or a swing/bellwether area. Thanks

Are there any GOP areas in MA-I'm thinking not. Report I read yesterday said Brown had comfortable leads, according to polls, in bellwether areas.

Conventional wisdom is that heavy turnout would favor Coakley because of the overwhelming Democrat voter ID in that state, so I don't think heavy turnout is good for Brown, overall.

Yet, heavy turnout very early in the morning as polls open means that people are champing at the bit to cast their votes (the broken glass syndrome) and I think the enthusiasm lies with Brown. Coakley voters seem lukewarm at best and not as anxious to get out of a warm bed at 6 AM and go out in the snow to vote.

If turnout becomes more normal as the day progresses, then Brown should be okay. If turnout is strong throughout the day, I think that favors Coakley.

In Ct its 6am. It gives commuters time. Maybe a 7 am vote cuts down on conservatives who work all day.

In line at 6:55am in Walpole; about 50 people ahead of me already :-) It’s finally our day after decades of my vote not counting. Scott Brown will win going away!

“I’ve never seen anything like this in my 40-something years as a life-long MA resident. “

It’s amazing to actually have a race in Mass., isn’t it. I think that’s what people who have never lived in Mass. don’t really grasp - that the mere fact that there is a real horse race for a senate seat (or any seat outside of the governor) is amazing. The idea that anyone other than a Dem could actually WIN, let alone just make it a race is almost unfathomable. This is a state that doesn’t have any GOP representation on the Federal level and 90% of the state legislature is Democrat. Single party rule has been the status quo for 30+ years.

Now hopefully they follow through!

Not really, if its the independents who make up the majority are the ones turning out in force, Coakley is finished.

Voted Brown in Allston (a very liberal neighborhood in Boston). Polls were nearly deserted (a good sign).

Has anyone read some of the ‘citizen reports from the polls’ here on Boston.com? A number of posters are talking about SEIU and ACORN intimidation at some polling places. It sounds like the Democrats are ramping up their get out the vote machine. Don’t let yourself be bullied. Vote Scott Brown!

Shenanigans in Medford already. Poll worker at the Andrews School told voter that he had to declare a party before he could get a ballot. Isn’t that only for the primaries??? Sounds like the Dem machine at work....

Heavy turn-out benefits the fraudsters.

As long as it is close enough to trigger a re-count.
