“if women were not allowed to vote I am convinced that there would be no liberals in Congress.”
You sound like a person who has no daughters.
Correct?
Is the 58-42 Brown advantage in absentees you mention from this poll or from another source?
In a short, special election, it’s not over based on even the ever astute Rasmussen poll on Monday. There’s a lot of variables in this type of election and things can move quickly with a small group of voters swayed by whatever factor comes up.
If you recall, New Hampshire’s primary went from being a coronation for Obama to a comeback for Shrillary. What had changed? Nothing, other than Shrillary “found her voice” by sobbing over her situation and getting sympathy from the primary voters.
You just never know what little thing can change a race. Right now Bamster is heading to Mass. to try and rally the base of union and urban voters. It wouldn’t take much to change the numbers.
It’s not too soon to roll up your sleeves and instead embrace this alternative:
People in ANY state can volunteer for the phone bank! http://www.resistnet.com/forum/topics/phone-calls-for-freedom-call-1?commentId=2600775%3AComment%3A1891491&xg_source=activity
Anyone Anywhere Contribute! https://www.icontribute.us/scottbrown
Live in or near MA? Volunteers still needed at many regional offices. If you can help, please email Laura@brownforussenate.comand she will tell you how.
If you live in Massachusetts, become an election judge. In Boston they pay $135-$185 and they NEED Republican monitors.
Needed; military and retired law enforcement VFW and police organizations etc to monitor polls- prevent the voter fraud theyre plotting right now. Video tape everything; document everything; prosecute the perpetrators.http://www.cityofboston.gov/news/default.aspx?id=3599
It will be impossible to cheat unless the election is a lot closer than recent polling suggests. A few hundred votes can be “found,” but there's nothing the Dems can do if they lose by more than a few thousand. If they lose by 3 per cent they'd have to find about 30,000 votes to close the gap even assuming very light turnout. That's not going to happen.
It's one thing to be aware that the Dems are corrupt, it's quite another to suppose that they are superhuman evil geniuses. This is no time for tin foil helmets. Paranoia isn't helpful.
This does not take in account the ACORN factor which is prob. good for 5 points in an off year election. I say the dims steal the election. Either outright or they will Franken it.
Get real. Franken and Coleman were polling dead even just before the election and Coleman won the first tally by 725 votes. That was close enough to steal. In MA, all the public polling indicates that Brown has a significant, growing lead. Barring a complete breakdown of our political system, fraud is never going to be a factor in any but the closest races. There's no reason at all to think it will be a factor here.
i thought this, too. rather than having to spend the year defending an indefensible program, they could instead go on and on about obstructionist republicans, with full media backing. but then barack capone mugabe announced he was coming to campaign, and i don’t think he’s that interested in tying himself to a planned loser.
MIL has always voted Dem and she’s in her 70’s, she has two of her long time Dem friends with her.
all voting for Brown, because they don’t like her or obama and the Govt health care
true why should some scruffy stinking layabout get to vote and decide how me and my kids have to pay in taxes which goes to them.
voting from the heart doesn’t go well either.
look at the 100,000 to 200,000 Haitians who obama wants to come to Florida.
the state will be forever blue which is what the left wants but the problem is how some on the right feel they should come here thus making the state blue and making those who come here dependent on more tax money from us
I put nothing past the dims, and especially NE U.S. dims. A well organized fraudluent effort could add a 100K votes to Coakley's total. A lot of people have died in MA between 1700-2000, and I expect that some of my ancestors will miracalously show up Tuesday to vote.
yea it will hurt anyone who brings over 100,000 to 200,000 to my state too.
they should not be coming here to change this state forever and we cannot afford them but of course the white house will try and get them here so the state will be forever blue.
we are not responsible for Haiti as bad as it is.
we can help them in logistics etc but not bring them here and they should stay where they can help to rebuild THEIR country
for this I am not blaming obama no matter how many times the media has a Haitian saying they are not getting enough from us , I will blame him however if he brings them here.
The bottom line is the trend is still with Brown. If Martha thought Obama could help she should have had him come up last week. Appearing on a Sunday during the NFL playoffs isn’t exactly going to get a ton of attention.
The Rasmussen numbers are from last Tuesday. It appears (fingers crossed) from the other more recent polls, that Brown has gained momentum. Let's pray he keeps it into next Tuesday.
I think the ad assault came too late. She only started them when it became clear she was in trouble and the ads they are running are amateurishly bad (like misspelling Massachusetts in one).

Like it or not, that sort of thing trumps concern for the country in a lot of America. But I don't see anything of the sort in play in Mass.
Okay, not to rain on everyone’s parade who, but most of you do realize while we are cheering on Brown to win in MA on Tuesday to stop health care, I predict that if he wins, in the next several months, he’ll become another one of the hated Senate RINOS.
I’m sure most saw the CSPAN debate earlier this week and his wishy-washy answer on abortion and Roe v Wade leaves in doubt how he would vote on court nominations in the Senate. I was also not convinced in how he answered questions in regard to stopping illegal immigration. While he may be a good vote to stop the health care bill or support the troops, I find it somewhat amusing that the board known for full spectrum conservative principles is embracing what appears to be another RINO.
Don’t get me wrong, I want Brown to win too, but this goes back to the problem of getting real conservative candidates to stand in elections that we are confident they are solid on all the issues across the board.
I remember when this board embraced Michael Steele when he first ran for the Senate in MD, and I tried to warn folks that while he was a good alternative in a state as left as MD, on the national scene he was going to be viewed as a CINO. And lo and behold.
So support Brown, but I would urge cautious optimism.
