**Artist Showcase**



Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin (born 17 May 1961), better known as Enya, is an Irish vocalist, instrumentalist and composer. Her name is sometimes presented in the media as Enya Brennan; Enya is an approximate transliteration of how Eithne is pronounced in the Irish language, her native tongue.

She began her musical career in 1980, when she briefly joined her family band Clannad, before leaving to pursue her solo career. Her album Watermark, which was released in 1988, propelled her to international recognition and Enya became known for her unique sound, which was characterised by voice-layering, folk melodies, synthesised backdrops and ethereal reverberations.

This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

I believe Wayne Carson also wrote “The Letter” for the Boxtops and “Always On My Mind” which Elvis first recorded and Nelson later. I still eat dinner off a coffee table in front of the TV every night. Bought that coffee table from Wayne at a yard sale over 20 years ago. I don’t know if he ever wrote a hit on it, but I sure haven’t!
